I've been looking for this game forever! Although, this isn't quite the CD Man I remember. This is a revised version. I had the original, which didn't have this weird looking pac man skin. I kinda liked the old school look better, but I'll take what I can get.

I never saw "old school version"! This is the only version of CD Man I played. If you can get CD Man "old school version" I would love to see it on the site! :ok:

i think i have the other one as well
this version is 2.0 the official one (e.g registered)
the one you are talking about is version 1.5 (shareware)
that one has 3 screens instead of 5 and can not be played by 2 players simultanously. It does have a real pacman though

Who can help me?

I am in the third round, fifth level (with ghosts). The problem is, when I walk over the points, marking my way, they don't go out like in all levels before. So I have no chance to see, where I soon have done my way and where I even have to go.

Please excuse my bad English, I'm from Germany!

when you push enter on the start option you have to push the bar space button.

I also had both versions, first the "oldschool" one, then the new one. I preferred the oldschool one, but after I got the new one I didn't play this game very much anymore, so I didn't really care :)

My favorite Pacman clone though....

I cant get this game to run - It just comes up with the intro screen. I think I've pressed every key possible. H E L P

Use DosBox (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net) to run the game. You can download it here (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/download.php?main=1).

Used to play this a lot as a kid. Although, the version I played had only 3 different levels and you had to pass each level three times to advance.

And it was very fast, too. Now, playing this in DOSBox, I set the speed to 100 and it felt still quite slow.

Just finished my first attempt, scored 22160. I played through all five?? levels once and died when I was in that space level for the second time.

Oh jesus.

Nostalgia'd so hard I almost cried.

I remember the PC we had in our classroom in Grade 0 had this game on it.
I miss my childhood.

From what I've learned, it seems as if the version you remember would be the Shareware version. The shareware isn't really a "Limited to the first episode" type version of CD-Man, it's more of a earlier version that was later improved upon with the full version. However, the shareware version also seems like basically a good freeware title in it's own right. Search google for "CD-Man Shareware DOS" or similar, and you should find a download of it on some shareware DOS game downloader site.

Hope this helps. :smile2:
