:bye: :bye: Just wanted to say it is great to see the site continuing
and growing .....I have had to be away had a health
relapse, but am now better, and have a new old system
set up so plan to expand and continue my research
and enjoyment of the classics. I am so glad to see
all still here and doing so well.

thanks for keeping the flame alight for us all

Thank you Christian.
You always had interesting thoughts and comments about the games. It's nice to see a gamer who really takes the time to enjoy the games we put up and (re)discovers the joy of grand old games!
:ok:

Nice to hear from you Sebastianos, I do appreciate and
enjoy what is up here very much and the sharing of the
knowledge makes it also very enjoyable. I have taken
a look at some of the newer (1992- on ) creatoins, including
the Myst cycle, and beyond, and must say that some of the
newer games really dont have the quality of the older ones,
lots of eye candy true, but not the substance and inner
strength of the classics. I am so glad you are all still
here......and have put up some very interesting older titles.
thanks again

Speaking of "everyone still here", what's with warmpaul? I haven't seen him around for a while. And he used to be THE greatest spamer for a period.

:D
What happened?

I had bone cancer in 2003, and they replaced much
of my right leg, in a totally successful operatoin, no
nasty stuff anywhere else, :w00t: :w00t:
so i have some more years of serious gaming ahead
of me
:w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

the docs and people helping me have been

and I am doing really well, but have not been able
to walk without crutches yet, and could not drive
until a month or so ago.....sooooo, at times it has
been tough and I have kept working at a job and
doing community service work and also publish
a research journal for ecology, social research and
traumatic stress, so at times I get tired out and have
to slooooooowwwwww down.....

thats my story for now....good to be back

And good to have you back!

I know our site isn't much compered to the artistic work you've done so far, but would you maybe consider visiting our little Art sub-forum.
The work I saw at Your site (http://www.christophergerlach.com) is extraordinary. :kosta: I'm very curious why you chose certain motives (especially the chair by the pool).

It's good to see you back, but on the other hand I think that 5000 members is a lot too many.

Well HORAYYYYY (or whatever it should spelled)

I'm glad you managed to recover from something like that.

As for your drawings, well, that's what i call ART. Good cathces man. For example that winter morning, it makes me remeber that this world is only thing worth saving.

I don't see art in those pictures like "three lines and few flecks" where people see milions of emotions.

You are good artist in my oppinion.

Hm, i might went a little off topic, but what a **** :D

thank you all, much appreciated.
Sebastiaznos, thanks for your very kind comments on my
humble artistry. The chair by the pool is called "solitude" At times
indeed often in my life, I feel apart from the stream, watching
from the side, and that was one of those moments,, time stopped
and there was beauty.

i will visit the art forum i promise.

cheers

Welcome back, and congratulations on recovery.

I just looked at your site and I have to say there are some incredible pictures on there, particularly A Most Beautiful View : San Diego Bay from First Avenue Bridge. It's almost like looking at a photograph, the way you've captured the light. Gorgeous!
