Anyone here play soldat? If not, Soldat is an awesome Polish shooter game that's like no other game ever made. You're in control of a little man that can fly and shoot, and you look at him in a side view. It's an incredibly fun and addicting game that would be a lot of fun to play with you all. Sort of, although from what I hear Worms is turnbased. There's a multiplayer game EXACTLY like Worms, if what I know about Worms is right, called Gunbound. It's turnbased and you choose little robots to fight in, you can get it here (http://www.gunbound.net). Soldat, in my opinion is a lot more fun though, it's free moving, you can fly around, shoot, and do all sorts of stuff. I love it!

It reminds me strongly on other, now old, game, that came out only to be a multiplayer game. It was looking almost entirely the the same, although it was sort of like a flight-combat-simulator with no plane, but a strange flying "thing" instead. It was in 3D-perspective because of that, too. Yeah! Alright, that's the spirit! Download all of the stuff up there, especially the fix and the maps. I don't think I can play people without the maps. I usually play on gamingworld's private server, so I'll ask if they can turn it on so we can play together or we can meet on some other server, or I can connect to your IP or vice versa. Awesome!

That would be a lot of fun Kosta, if you could set up a server or something. I have no idea how it's done so I really can't but you seem to know a lot about... Everything? So maybe you could set up a server or find us one that we can all play on.

There is a linux server version available, I'll just have to check if that will be compatibile with FreeBSD on which this server is running. I'll let you know later today

Nope, the Linux version is not compatible with FreeBSD. So, basically, we either need someone with a really fast connection (upload), or someone who has access to a linux server :)

Titan is the first who comes to my mind... he always brags about his connection speed ;)

BTW, I'm ready whenever you are. We should set a date when most of us can get here. I'm guessing that's usually around 20:00 GMT, that's when most people are on the forum usually!

I have one of the best connections in America; I live right outside DC and that's where the best connections are. We can play off of my IP so just set up a time Kosta and we'll play.

Well, I'll probably be getting back home on Sunday at 4:00 EST. I don't know what that equates to your time because I'm too lazy to check. However, I think it might be a little bit late for you guys because I'm in America. Basically I don't think we'll be able to do it this weekend unless I get home early, and even still we probably won't be able to coordinate anything so soon because we really are all over the world.

The second I get home though I'm turning on Soldat and posting for you all to get on.

I downloaded the game and it's great! Can I join in the the online game this weekend? Do I need fast connection speed? I have a 33,6 kbps connection.

My theory is anyone can join if they want to. I figure since we all live around the world we'll be jumping around the screen and missing eachother completly, but it'll be loads of fun! If we can get it up this weekend sunday (that time's fine for me Chef since I'm Central NA time) and it would be about 21 GMT time (close to what Kosta wanted) so I think it might work out...we'll see.

No. I play with people from all around the world all the time. In fact, one of the people that I play with a lot is from Finland, and our connection is perfect together. You don't really need a fast connection, 56k is fine. Anyway, I'll be home tomorrow so then we can set it up.

From the looks of the site, it doesn't say anything about it costing money, so I'm behinduming that it is still free.

I think you have to pay a $10 fee for registration. But after that you don't have to pay. I think that's why I never registered, and I haven't registered cause I can't make my own player, I have to use default.

By the way has anyone played Stick Soldiers or Stick Soldiers 2?
