treid changing the disk? maybe it's corrupted.

Alos saying "it wont work" doesn't really give us much to start with.

your operating system?

try formating disk first.

Menu: start->run

type: format a: (or whatever your floppy drive name is)

after this try run the abandonia boot disk again.

if that doesn't work then try formating boot disk by following order:

format a: /u

if that doesen't work try to check your disks on some other computer to see if they really are all corrupted.

if they are not corrupted then you need to buy a new disk drive (it's common thing that stops working). i already changed mine on one of my computers.

Note: You can create your own system boot disk by typing:

format a: /s

All this wont help much if you are using WIN XP.

You know, I've been using the same FDD for 10 years now, and it's still working even after the motherboard of it's original host computer went toast. So there.

newer models do seem more unreliable to me.

anyway this is offtopic.

except for the part that your floppydrive might be broken

I really should've clicked quote for gregor's post, but I'm too lazy.

Start --> Programs --> MS-DOS Prompt

C:\> format a: /s /u
INSERT DISK
Stuff..........
Type a disk label if you want one (11 letters)
Format another? (y/n): n
C:\> exit

I'm quite familiar with this having to do it about a gillion times fixing my PC. I made about ten bootdisks. Then I gave up and reformatted my hard drive.

well if you can create WIN 98 boot disk then your drive is ok.

maybe something is worng with the file you downloaded? the one thta creates teh boot disk.
