I have might and magic 1,2,3,4 and 5. It's simular to eye of the beholder.
Well done graphics and a nice story. I think it's something for your site. I don't have the manual of part 4 and 5 if someone has it please mail it to me.
I also have heroes of might and magic two, a lot better than part 1.

Well, Heroes of Might and Magic 2 is nice game, but it's unfortunately still sold, so it's not abandonware... :(
Talking about Might & Magic 1-5, I'm not sure if they are abandoned, but they could be today...
If they are, they most certainly belong to our site! :D

HoMM2 is still being sold? Where? I have not seen it for ages.

I remember seen it on some site somewhere during my searches on the internet...
It was also mentioned here in the forums earlier somewhere, that it's not abandoned, if I remember correctly... <_<

It used to unabandoned but that was before 3DO went dead. I have not heard anything about the liscence being tranferred so we can now assume it is abandoned.
After all the only reason we can have HoMM1 on site is because 3DO went under.

Well, then this game should be the one that would be available on our site, if there wouldn't be a small problem - I think it's large. It should be somewhere around 200 MB + eventually the CD-music, because it could be that the game won't run without the CD. My version only installs some necessary files on the HD and loads all the data from the CD, no full install available... :(

I have a 30MB zip file that says it is HoMM2. I have not tried it yet but I will once I have some spare time.
Almost all the games on this site have owners. Abandoneware is abandoneware once the game is no longer being sold (a few last copies lying around some store do not count) and the game is older then 5 years.

You will not need my copy then, if it doesn't work you can mail me.

I tried it and it works. It does need DOSBox though, it requires to much memory to run under windows.

I think it would be really cool too, with the first Might and Magic games. In the case of Migth and Magic, the first games was the best. Might and Magic 8 and 9 are really bad games. But I think number 7 and older are great games. I haven't played them all, though.
If it's abandonware, please but it on! :ok:

I liked Might & Magic 7 very much, it was really vast...I like games that give you some freedom still keeping a storyline, and M&M7 did that....
I chose the good side  ....

From all the Might & Magic series, I played only Might & Magic 6 so far. It was not bad, especially the music was a hit... http://forum.giga.de/forum/images/smilies/cool.gif

I can go down and get a retail of HoMaM 2 TODAY if i like to from my local gameshop...
I can get the standalone, the Gold or the Platinum where ALL heroes games are gatherd (have thatone)... so NO... it's no Abandon.... BUT... you never know...
Anyway.. as you all know (or not).. Abandonware realy doesn't excists anyway.. it's actualy a 95 yr time-limit for software in the US.. Bu since 3DO is down (for good this time?) the copies WILL run out sooner rather then later, and just to heighten the glory of 3DO and have them remember for all the goodies they've feed us with, i could verry well see those on the site..
