Cant Get Game To Play

i;ve downloaded ABUSE and TYRIAN , both games are compatible with windows XP, however when i run the game , i seem to get stuck at the begining, for ABUSE , my screen just freezes at the picture of the alien , for TYRIAN its about the same, it frezes at the begining.

someone please help me to get this game working

A silly thought, but I've seen it happen before - did you unzip the game?

ANd by unzip, he meant did you use WinZIP to extract archive. ;)

yeah , i unzipped everything. i can even run the game , its just that it freezes at the intro. it wont continue :_(

Change compatibility mode to win98.

Yeah, i tried the change the compatibility, didnt work , same thing

I've finally got the game working , all i had to do was restarted my pc after unzipping , silly me , :P
