im not sure if its abandonware or the size of it, but its no longer being produced and no one sells it, to my knowledge (apart from Ebay)

I don't think so. According to the list of ESA companies, Blizzard Entertainment is part of Vivendi.

Erm, no, I was replying to Shunk's post, actually. I might have made that more clear, sorry.
About Hellfire, according to the Mobygames entry (http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/hellfire), it was made by Sierra, in which case it would still be part of Vivendi.

Heh, figures, couldn't imagine such a popular game as Diablo not being ESA, then again X-com isn't.....

Diablo: Hellfire not found in CSE. It's a non-standalone expansion, however, and the required parent game is still sold.

What if I have a version that doesn't need the standard game?(Diablo is still in it, but you can't start that game or go to Battle.net)

That means it contains data files taken from baseline Diablo. Not acceptable.
