Help!

[Exumab]

I wanted to find a post I sent some time ago requesting instructions on how to "Start" (exe) the Jack the Ripper (Dos) game. It explained the problem but going back through the hundreds of postind under trouble shooting I found daunting. Is there any other way of finding a previous posting?

The Problem.

When I click on the only exe file listed a box comes up showing the game being extracted and a second Dos box appears and then immediately disappears.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use the search function at the top of the page (make sure you don't only search the posts made during the past month). Alternatively, you could click on your profile and then on 'show all posts by this member'

As for the actual problem, it sounds like you're running it in windows (possibly with DOSBox open) - DOSBox is different to the command prompt that was opening; you need to run the game within DOSBox. Read the DOSBox newbie's guide or the readme that came with DOSBox.
