:help: Ya I wanna create a space/strategy/simulation game. Those type of games where you have a space ship and you fly around the galaxy buying,selling,trading,bounty hunting, pirating,ect.. The only problem is that I do not have a clue what to do. I have all summer to learn so if any one has a website or something that they know that could be helpful I would really appreciate it.
All I know is HTML. I don't think that well help though. Does any one know a website that I can learn c++?

What programming language do you know?
How are you standing with programming theory?
if you dont want to code try game maker. you will need to use scripting to milk it. c++ some people find that handy. there are loads of resources at the top of the page on a sticky.

Only way I know to do that is C++. You could do it in AGS, but it'd be mostly scripting. If the flight sim uses the mouse that is. :)

C++ isn't something that you could learn in few days, for only part with C you would approx need 2 or 3 weeks (depends on your free time and will).
Best is to start from book, but if you want you could try from tutorials ...
A few link.
Cprogramming (http://www.cprogramming.com/)
Cplusplus (http://www.cplusplus.com/)
C++ Home (http://www.cpp-home.com/index/tiki-view_blog.php?blogId=1)
ProgrammersHeaven (http://www.programmersheaven.com/)
If you don't have any experience with programming and won't deal with it in future, I would advice you to leave C++ and try for Visual Basic, it's easier to learn and to program with it. A lot! :ok:

If you wanna learn c++, then, IMO, you're much better off buying a book than learning it off some website. I felt it worked out easier that way.
