Hey guys. Im sittin here, just got bored of ADOM..I dunno it just didn't hit my sweet spot anymore. Can anyone recommend a good game? I want something with the feel of ADOM...I don't really know. I want something with a HUGE place to explore, something non-linear with a good amount of freedom. a LOT of collectable stuff...but something not so hard as ADOM *laugh* Its very challenging, and I loved it..it just got annoying after a while is all. Ill pick it up again im certian, but who's got some good ideas?

Why don't you try Might and Magic World of Xeen?
World of Xeen is the combination of MM 4 and MM 5, so it is really biiiiiiig!
I enjoyed playing it a lot.
You can download it from abandonia.

You tried some of these NetHack and Rogue remakes already? I don't like them myself, but others said they're quite good ^_^
Also, Dungeon Odyssey by Malfador Machinations is some fun, even though you'd have to buy it.
Beside that, I only know some 1st person RPGs, like Anvil of Dawn, Stone Keep, or the Lands of Lore Series (of which the 2nd was my fav), or this whole Might and Magic stuff.
Oh and you should try Albion if you haven't already.
Beside that, I just realized I've played too many 1st person RPGs ^^
Oh, and you could try RPG Maker 2k (or 2k3) games. The most are crap, but some of them are really awesome (especially Vampires Dawn, but afaik it's only released on german, haven't been in the Rm2k scene for quite a while though).

I don't know what ADOM is so a few very good (for me) RPGs are:
Arcanum,
Temple of elemental evil,
fallout series,
Knights of the republic
Wizardry series
Drakhen (sp?)
Arx Fatalis
Ambermoon and star (one of them is german only, always confuse the names :-( )
Phantasie III
Some of them are almost new others are much older.

there's a few roguelikes on AR with more to come, and if you've got a NGC i got Paper Mario 2nd hand today, and am enjoying it thus far.
Check out SCOURGE or Falcon's Eye. The link is in my signature, they're on the list.

If you don't mind paying for a game, consider Morrowind. It's certainly wide open, and on a PC, you can add hundreds of mods that provide still more land, cities, quests, etc.
And might I recommend Gothic? It's often overlooked, but it's really an impressive game. A bit hard to come by unfortunately... It's 3rd person-ish by the way.
Edit: Oh, and Morrowind is in many bargain-bins right now. I've seen it around for about 6 euros for the game + two extensions... that's dead cheap...

Yeh My computer *laugh* isn't good enough for Morrowind unfortunately. Gothic however, (on its lower of settings) Ran ok and I managed to beat that game. It was awesome, and I loved it. If I can play Gothic on its lowest setting, yeh think itd be able to play Arx Fatalis? I been trying to get my hands on that one.

You want a good RPG? Play Final Fantasy 2. NES or GBC emukator.

IIRC they were released about the same time, so chances are good. I think Jowood published Arx Fatalis so you might want to check them for system requirements.
