I was hoping someone here might be able to help me remember the name of a particular game I used to play in the mid-90s. It was a game where you flew either a bomber or fighter airplane in world war one. When you flew the bomber, it was a top-down view where you flew left or right to drop bombs on certain locations. When you flew the fighter you a side view of the airplane. I cannot for the life of me remember, for some reason I thought it might've been called the art of war, but couldn't find any record of it in google. Any help would be appreciated.

This is a good early 90's WWI strategy\RTS game by Microprose. This game would be a great addition to this site! :ok:

Take a look at Upload Procedure! (http://www.abandonia.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=575) and Tips for review (http://www.abandonia.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2845) to make things clear :)
Feel free to ask your doubts and when you have finished let us know, than we will PM updaters, ok? ^_^

Somebody should add him to the list of Games That Need Reviews & Screenshots (http://www.abandonia.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1658) because this game is listed there.

Well, I can't find my Ancient Art Of War In The Skies game (although I did find another one I am going to submit). So, I went online to try to find it from one of the other sites (which is apparently fine as long as there is no identifying text to uploaders, crack makers, etc.). Well, I found it and the game works fine, but it has to have a crack due to copy protection (look on page x to find answer y type question). It comes with a crack, but it has the identifying crack maker in the crack itself. Since the upload directions state that after the upload, the site searches for extra files (such as cracks), do I still upload this?

The crack is neccesary for running the game, so you'll have to include it in the archive.
If you have any extras for the game you should upload them as well.

Hi everybody
This is my first registered day in abandonia. And we have just reached a new record: The highest number of abandonia users online ever is now 6!!! Ok, I think this will get better in near future. I think the existence of Abandonware in combination with Dosbox has not yet reached so many 'old' gamers. But be prepared that this site will blow up to a giant comunity in the future. You offer a very good site that gives a very effective and reliable first impression. Keep up the good work! Growing is just a matter of time.
What became to the 'Ancient art of war in the sky'? It was discussed earlier in this thread. I have one cracked version in my collection. Just give me a short YES if you want me to upload it. I will try my best. Unfortunately I can not give a review. It is some years ago that I played it. And I remember that it was not one of my favourites.

Ooops, the max. number of users online ever is 60, not 6. It seems that I have to clean my glasses ..
Is it not possible to edit an earlier posting?
bye

Yes you can edit your own posts, but only if you log in first when posting, you seem to post as 'guest'.

Wrong, we reached more than 2000 with the last site version (but it was a server attack :D)

Hi all
I got the information from Luchsen that one copy of AAOWITS is already on the server, waiting for review.
I have the english version (cracked, so without the manual-question). If you find that you need it after review, just send me a PN.
I know that there is also a German version available, but I do not have it, nor I have found a copy of it in the www. Just some box scans can be found in the web.
best regards
Juergen

Another archive is inside Romano's Ultimate DOS Collection. Do we have the review from HoffmanJ68 somewhere?
