WHEN STARTING UP DOSBOX FOR FIRST TIME I SHOULD GET C:\> BUT I'M GETTING Z:\> EVEN THOUGH I'VE CHANGED THE CONFIGURATION TO:
mount C C:\DOS\CDrive
mount D D:\-t cdrom
C:
CLS
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG,PLEASE HELP.

does the folder C:\DOS\CDrive actually exist on your HDD? If not the CLS will stop you from seeing any error messages. Also, please don't shout at us.

try using dfend. makes all that stuff alot easier.

You don't say weather typing C: afterwards works correctly. If it does, then I guess it's something to do with that CLS command. My config is basically the same, but without that CLS line, and I've had no trouble.

CLS isn't the problem. Problem is that the folder seems not to exists, so look actually in what folder you placed your game really and mount that one instead. :)
