however, I played the demo ages ago and the concept was quite fascinating but sadly lacking in execution. I see there are another 8 (! ) versions of this game in existence as can be read here :

Are any of these any good in your opinion ? This is probably :ot: as they are all being sold, but i'm of course not asking you to upload these games :D

sorry for going off topic but that review you stated up there is one of the best ive ever read... mabye only cause of this but i just had to post it:

Well the creator certainly had a good idea, just that he doesn't really have enough to turn it into a good *game*.
I remember reading a review about the latest one in the series, Universal Combat, the idea that you can command a spaceship, pilot a shuttle down to the surface, then control one of those marines in the shuttle in FP view is good, except they didn't code in colision detection between the player and most of the objects on the planet maps like trees 'n such. Also you can't enter any of the buildings...

Well....I never had any problems with the first one. Can't say the same for the following games. Anyway the 2001-2 version is already a freeware by Derek Smart so you could download it for free from say 3dGamers or something. I am sure there were 2 threads somewhere about it.

So Battle Cruiser 3000 Ad is a terrible game. And to think that I wanted to download it ! :not_ok:

I don't think it was that bad, but many people do not like it that is for sure. You could download the free version I mentioned which is not bad at all.

I liked it too.
I guess the only way to find out about the game, will be to just download it and decide for yourself.
