Okaym guys...the moment you've all been waiting for! I put together these 11 pics cause I thought they were Abandoniaworthy....
They're all rough sketches, nothing spectacular. Thats how I draw, a pen and a nice piece of looseleaf... :D
I'll put a short commentary on each one:

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/indignus/IndignusArt001.jpg
This one was one a whim, real quick. What the inside of my starfighter would look like....

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/indignus/IndignusArt004.jpg
After reading the War of the Worlds (I know a lot about the Titanic, so I used it as my model)

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/indignus/IndignusArt002.jpg
After watching the Day After Tomorrow....

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/indignus/IndignusArt003.jpg
After the apocalypse, a bunch of aliens and robots land to document the end of the earth.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/indignus/IndignusArt.jpg
I scribbled this one really quick, because I wanted to see if I could draw something as vast as NYC. It turned out nice, though.

Thats it! Hope you liked it! :w00t:

Here's some more....

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/indignus/IndignusArt007.jpg
I like drawing buildings, I have a whole slew of these if you want more :D

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/indignus/IndignusArt006.jpg
This is my original hunter-seeker robot. (he's a pretty nasty bugger, wouldn't want to run into him)

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/indignus/IndignusArt009.jpg
same robot, different pose.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/indignus/IndignusArt005.jpg
This is a star wars capital ship. Copied it off of a book cover (cheater, I know!)

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/indignus/IndignusArt008.jpg
I like designing technology. This is a diagram of a cutaway of a humanoid robot's arm.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/indignus/IndignusArt010.jpg
Explaining how the joints work on the robot arm

Have fun!

AWESOME :ok: :ok: AWESOME :ok: :ok: . I like the "After the apocalypse" picture the best

I like all of them, Indignus. Really creative pictures. The cross-section of the robots were ingenius. ..reminded me of the inventive and well-researched technical sketches of Leonardo Da Vinci. Artwise, I thought Titantic and Apocolpyse were fantastic having both realistic and imaginative details. New York City was a great sketch. Wouldn't we all like to pilot around in a star fighter like that? The sketch of the buildiing was kind of a contemporary Gormanghast. Really original.

Hoping to see more :)

The first two seem a bit too... well it just looks like you tried to put too much stuff in them. They're not bad, but nothing extraordinary.

I do like the rest of them a lot!

Indignus IV

Yeah....I don't like the War the Worlds pic at all. I just made the alien saucers really fast, without putting any thought in. It looks like the skyscraper got a very positive response! I'll put a couple more in, I have literally hundreds of these buildings I've drawn. Thanks for the compliments!

P.s. Seb, I put in your pope avatar! :D

Okay, guys. Here is some more buildings. I know there are a lot of pictures, but it killed me just to show these. Like I said, I have literaly hundreds!
Also, I made these buildings during french class cause I was bored! Without a ruler! I draw all my buildings freehand. They look more authentic that way. I also have the strange gift of being able to draw an almost perfectly straight line freehand :D

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/indignus/IndignusArt015.jpg
This one was inspired off of Chinese and Japanese traditional architecture

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/indignus/IndignusArt014.jpg
The "Black Temple"! A strange spiky fort made entirely of black obsidian.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/indignus/IndignusArt013.jpg
A weird skyscraper that looks like its from "The Jetsons" or something

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/indignus/IndignusArt012.jpg
My favorite 'scraper of all time: I love the cold, sharp, corporate look.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/indignus/IndignusArt011.jpg
based on the earlier one that I posted. The simplest, easiest design

Thats all! Enjoy.

He-he. I'm glad you liked it.

Those buildings are awesome.

I don't know why, but the last one remiends me of the Statue of Liberty. And the third one (from the Jetsones or something) remeinds me of the Eifel Tower (but with a bridge to some other structure).

Looking forward to more :ok:

EDIT: But the "Black Temple" :w00t: .

Nice connections, Seb! I'll see if I can put more pics on later, but it is a long and difficult process. I have to scan them in, resize them, put them on photobucket, than put them here.

Until then, here is one to tide you over:

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/indignus/IndignusArt016.jpg
It is a birds-eye view of the last building above. The tower is on the right side, surrounded by the atrium. The stuff on the left side is the plaza, with fountains and statues. :bye:

Edit: this picture is slightly different than the last one above, but you get the idea! :ok:

Hey Indi, Can you do a sketch of an Imperial Interdictor class Cruiser...and I know you know what I am talking about...:) I would love to see a sketch of one of those and the four gravity well projectors

Doc

Indignus IV
12-06-2005, 05:10 PM
@Doc: Actually, that destroyer is an Interdictor. I didn't like the bulbous gravity well projectors, so I took them off. If you want one, I suppose I can draw one. :D

@Wendy: yes, I wanted to be an architect for quite some time. However, it isn't really my favorite occupation. I like drawing buildings in my spare time, but I don't really take it seriously. I also like structural engineering, and I don't belive that type of building (my last one) is capable of being built. However, I am deeply flattered by you compliments! Thank You!

I think if somebody took this guy I quickly drew, made him scarier and put a real human inside the suit, he would make a great game character.

p.s: I know its smudge bad, but I am left handed, anything I draw my hand smudges over

Thats alright..don't draw a gravity well projector if you can avoid it. Just draw me a Lancer Class Frigate and we'll be even...er well we don't really have a score..but hey :)

Doc Adrian, here is your lancer:
Its not as good as my others, because I did really quick (less than 15 minutes)
In the backround you can see some interdictors, an executer class destroyer, and the eclipse :D
P.S. a lancer is much more difficult to do than a star destroyer, so my proportions are all off. Oh, well.

ooh not only does it look good to me, but I got a package deal and entire Imperial fleet to match. Very nice Indi.

And for 15 minutes thats pretty good indeed, I know some people that can draw pretty well too but they take a very long time and of course never like their work either.

You know, Indignus, your line work is actually quite good, I'm very impressed :ok:

Keep up the great work, I especially love your building sketches, very finely detailed. ;)

I totally agree with Tai. With the lancer pic, towards the end I was just scribbling in some star destroyers, like "what the f@!# I'll just put in some friggin destroyers <scratches madly>" :D

Really really nice artwork, I especially like the ''After the apocalypse, a bunch of aliens and robots land to document the end of the earth.'' picture.

Do you draw charcters/humans from Star Wars?

'a lancer is much more difficult to do than a star destroyer, so my proportions are all off. Oh, well.'' I am guessing thats from Star Wars but knowing me im probabaly wrong, dont go all freaky geeky on me if it isnt Star Wars =P

Anyway, Very Nice.

Indignus IV

There's this book I got at the book store-tons of technical schematics and drawings describing hundreds of star wars ships...really cool book!

Its called...um...The Star Wars Essential Guide To Vehicles and Spacecraft or something like that. Its part of the "essential guide" series which also includes planets and moons, droids, weapons and technology and alien species, which I all have. I am probably the biggest SW geek in the galaxy :D

Okay guys, I havent posted in this thread in a while, but I recently designed and built this new fighter which now constitutes a large portion of my fleet.

For you tech buffs out there:

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/indignus/IndignusArt024.jpg

These are various views of the new I.S. strike bomber SCARAB.
This incarnation is the S-327 with rotational wings, double wings and stronger weapons systems.

The ship consists of two boron-lithium ion thrusters, which propel the ship at speeds of close to .78 C, more than twice as fast as the other bombers in the fleet. The ship has upgraded tactical computers which control dual disrupter turrets at the front and rear of the fuselage. The turrets are computerized and automatically target other ship's weapons and propulsion systems. The manual weapons systems consist of double plasma cannons and two sonic missile launchers, capable of hauling a heafty payload.
The wings rotate to provide better manueverability in space, and the fighter's sleek design allows it to reach atmospheric speeds of close to mach 18. Most older bombers needed two pilots to run the ships systems, but the SCARAB's user-friendly interface means only one pilot is needed.

This ship is not available on the market until 2287, and the current prototypes are extremely expensive. I hope to improve this ship's performance sufficiently enough so it can be used to relieve the grave need our planet's fleet has for light-weight high performance fighters to continue to defend humanity's security.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/indignus/IndignusArt025.jpg

This ship here is my personal transport. It costs 946 billion dollars, and is completely top of the line. The wings have been expanded to a TRI-DELT formation to improve atmospheric flight to over mach 21. The boron-lithium thrusters have been replaced with quadruple Xenon Jets, which bring the ship close to .97C, faster than any ship ever built. The wings do not rotate, and I had to reinforce the wings with noticeable tension struts, because the wings were too heavy for the fuselage to support.
You see those two cones under the cockpit? yep, those are stilleta launchers. The most powerful ever made. The ship boasts 5 computerized turrets and 4 manual plasma cannons. The cockpit is enlarged and very roomy with spacious leather interior. The ship is emblazoned with my personal ensignia.

Unfortunately, the SCARAB S-239 is rather slow in sub-light combat. Maneuverability is greatly hampered by the huge wings. But you gotta give some to take some, eh?

This ship is definitely my best ever made.

Here is a front view of the ship with its wings:

Yes, it's pricey, but with some piggy banks to enable you to jump to light speed saving mode, and some imagination, the sky is not the limit. And this baby could take you anywhere in style and comfort. Right, Indignus?

Brilliantly planned and devised. :w00t:

Do you see the metal clunkiness at the right of the base of the tower? The face of that is the front. If you watch the return of the king, you can eventually see what I mean.

Hi guys! This is just a quick 'inny outy' thing, but I had to know what you thought. My dad just came back from Denmark, and he well he was their he bought me Disco-zone! So I drew the album cover. This is my first foray into animated drawings, so please be soft on me :D

Dan (center) I think I did great. Arsenie (left) looks like a super nerd, and is totally off. Radu (right) looks really hairy as a result of my black accents. But I like his hair.

Here is the actual album cover:

This is the general opinion. And I despise them just for how they look, I probably shouldn't judge them from appearance but I've been harassed enough with that darn song so I've all the right to loathe them.

The drawing is nice, some improving is in order but it's not bad.

How could ķi miss a topic like this? I see it goes a while back , and I didn't noticed :omg:

I like your style of drawing things Indi. Similar to mine. I don't have a scanner so I can't really back that up, but some of the scrapers and the LOTR pic resembles to some of my own drawings :O

I will find a way to post some of my own art here, as for I need to find a scanner someplace

GREAT job with those scrapers :ok: I very much like them. Especially that big pointy one with the glass hall on the top.

You will make a fine artist dude!
