Hey, since the list of rpg's is pretty small compared to the other sections, i've searched for some quality rpg's around the net.

1 - The superhero league of hoboken
a rpg where you have to save New York together with some ''superhero's'' with abilities like ''raise opponents cholesterol'' :shock:

Dink Smallwood
never played it, but heared it was pretty excellent.

darksun 1 and 2
desert rpg from ssi, heard it's pretty hard (but good)

al_qadim
another sunny..somewhat arabian rpg from ssi

blood omen: legacy of kain
don't know if it's actually abandonware, but I found it around.[/b]

Blood Omen is huge. I tried to download it from the underdogs but it would take 8 hours

underdogs is pretty slow. the game is about 88meg.

These three aren't abandonware, sadly, if I remember correcly, look at www.the-underdogs.org , they have those games, but for purchase on other site or like... :(

Do you want to write the reviews for these games? I'm quite interested in al_qadim and blood omen: legacy of kain (especially this one). The rest don't do much for me (Also tried Dink and didn't like it)

PS. Does anyone know: Is Fallout abandonware?

I heard many good things about Legacy of Kain, so this could be interesting :P

legacy of kain is a nice game. I played it for about 60 % onetime. (then hdloss)

But It's quite new and I recall that it was quite graphics sensitive.

blood omen isn't dos though :-/ , but it works good.

both darksun games worked poorly in dosbox. worked well in xp but off course no sound.

al_qadim I still have to try.

A rpg I always loved to play is Chrono Trigger, IMHO one of the best games ever made! (love the battle system :) )
Only problem is that it is not for PC but for the SNES... An emulator solves this of course but I'm not sure whether Kosta want to restrict the site to (dos) games or broaden the view...
