How To Use Ems?

Ugh... I tried to run that good old game "Privateer" both through XP and DOSBOX, but it keeps writing: "Protected mode driver is not responding to EMS function calls. Make sure your EMS driver is not configured with the NOEMS option. If it is, replace the option "NOEMS" with "RAM".

:help: Can anybody tell me what to do in this situation? 'Cuz I really would like to play the game again. :help:

well open dosbox.conf
look for ems=true
change it to ems=false
save the file
start dosbox
