Doom2 leads you to the buy link, and I don't know what was the criteria for putting up Doom2 review, but I'm thinking it used to be offered and when they found out it's sold, removed the download and made the buy link...

No they aren't abandonwarem those sites either have some agreemnet with ID software, or are dealing warez...

WOW! There still asking for 25 bucks for doom 2 thats pretty harse even though its laying arround here somewhere in our stack of games. :D

Yeah it can get quite expensive, try searching around, maybe you can find it for cheaper, I actually ran into a copy of Wolfeinstein 3-D at a local EB shop a month back they wanted $12 bucks for it, a little pricey in my book though for that game.

LOL Wolf3D is on Xplosiv for a fiver with 'realistic 3D graphics' put as one of its selling points. Either these guys are taking the piss or it's off the original press release.

You can get all 3 original DOOM games (DOOM, DOOM II and Final (heh) DOOM) in one collectors' set for about ?9.99 here in the UK.

Just to let everyone know i own all the dooms and ive beaten them all also includeing doom 3 :D

Yea, Doom runs are fun. I am capable of doom 1 and 2 on nightmare, but never really got into doom 3.

What if you guys offered the shareware versions?

we don't bother with shareware - what's the point? it's not like it's hard to find the doom shareware if you want it.

I have DOOM1 and I got in a CD-ROM (shareware CD-ROM). When I run the game, this type of message apeears in it!
"Distributed Free of Charge at an Suggested Retail of $9.00"
I don't know whether its freeware or shareware! I have completed it and found that it had many stages and during the gameplay, I never got any message that it was not freeware or I was using a commercial version! But the game size is 4.00 MB , it is window version! you can get 5 type of guns! The passwords IDDQD , IDKFA works perfectly! The name is not DOOM but DOOM95. If you want it, I can give it to you as an email attachment!
I had also suggested about this game last year August in one of my posts, but it was not included, I think its still commercial!

is there anywhere i can get doom1? i have doom 2 (non abandonia :offtopic: ) but never played first. should look like 2nd and what i read about it, it has three campainges (phobos, deimos) about 15 missions each, same grafiks, all weapons, and same gameplay. please, help me!

We have Doom 2 here that is true, but you cant download it here, coz its SOLD.
