Final Fantasy Can't Open File

[Troubled]

I'm running the game to the opening sequence, everything is fine, sound graphics etc. But during the opening senario of the game, it stops and message, can't open earth file comes up on the screen, and the whole thing closes up. What do I need to do?? I've got xphome and I'm running it through that.
