I'm downloading this at the moment. I'm interested as to whether it's any good and whether anyone on the site plays it?

I've played the training part, was to lazy to register due to my 56k connection...
However when I'll get broadband(very soon), I'll give it a go, that's for sure, bit when you try it out could you tell me how much traffic does it make(when gaming)...

I was going to give it a try, but the client is 750 f*cking megabytes!

I recommend Enemy Territory instead, loads of people play that. It's very, very good.

Finished the download, it's pretty good but requires almost 2gb for install! I'm still going through the training before I can play online, does anyone know how to get onto the master marksmanship training thing?

You need to complete the lower level training (with very good results) before you can get onto tthe higher levels.

I think that this is one of the best MP-FPS! It's nice and realistic; although the slower action won't be for some.

To get onto the Adv. Marksmanship course, you need to get over 35 in the Basic Marksmanship course. Took me a few tries... :(

I like the roleplaying feel to it.
You get honor points for accomplishing goals and getting kills and these upgrade your status so you can start modding your equipment. I'd like to get into this game, as it is geared towards realism as opposed to straight action frag festing which is good too. I'm just afrain big brother will try and recruit me if I get up high in it LOL. This game is blatent army recruiting at its best. They're targeting out youth now!!

Hmm I might just download a great mod for the original UT, called Infitration.

It's great, but like a 500mb dl.

Still less than AA, and it doesn't scan your hard drive!

i find AA to be a big waste of time you want to play a good FPS multiplay game id recomend wolfeinstein enemy territory but UT games are always fun i thought infiltration was basicly counter noobstrike

LOL That's hilarious. It's the opposite of noobstrike, it's very, very difficult to start, as there is no crosshair. The community is good too, although there are only about 5 of us...

Wolfenstein ET gets tiresome quickly.

There are only so many ways to win at it. Mostly by laying huge amounts of mines and then spamming the enemy spawn area with mortar strikes/airstrikes/artillery.

You will definately be OK with Infiltration, it's made to run on the original UT engine and hence will run (albeit badly) on a PII 233 with 32mb of RAM and no graphics crad.

It runs like a dream on anything better than that.

well et can get boring but something new has come along called baserace its really fun :D theres baserace beta 1,2,3 out 3 the best (i wonder why) is infiltration for UT the original cuz im think ut2k3 ut2k4 :blink:

It's for the original Unreal tournament and the mod is also being made for Half-Life 2.

I dunno... but I downloaded the mod again yesterday. I recommend that beginners go on the firing range ASAP, you'll learn which weapons you like best there.
