Warcraft II is still being sold, I think, so if I'm right if it's available somewhere for download, it would be illegal.

Several of the games you requested are not abandoneware (Doom, Warcraft 2) so I have edited your post. We do not condone warez requests.

Do we count Battle.net Edition as the same or a distinct game?

I would personally treat it in the same way that we treat CivNet for Civilization. Battle.net was simply Tides of Darkness and Beyond the Dark Portal but updated for Battle.Net usage. An updated version, but I do expect that we will need to have a discussion on this, considering how Corsairs is rejected due to the Gold Edition.

It seems that the final consensus is "do".
BNE doesn't appear in CSE, no valid buylinks on Amazon.com .
Ditto for Warcraft Battle Chest (containing WCII among other things).

Found this on Amazon.de: http://www.amazon.de/gp/offer-listing/B00004TO53/ref=dp_olp_collectible?ie=UTF8&qid=1315725523&sr=1-3&condition=collectible
But damn me if I have any idea whether "collectible" qualifies under new or under used. The "good" and "very good" states are named on Amazon.com as indicating used items, not sure whether the same applies to Amazon.de.

Collectible/Sammlerstück is a fancy name for saying a game is used, but is a special edition or is rare, I expect.

It seems that the final consensus is "do".Actually, Fifth, if the thread I created (http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=27819) to debate whether Warcraft II: Battle.net Edition is a standalone release is to be believed, the current consensus is "do not".

I meant "do" as in "do count it as the same game". :p
Turns out pretty academic either way, because it doesn't seem to be sold anywhere anymore.

Not sold anywhere indexed by the CSE, nor on Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.de . On that note, we really need a search helper tool to filter the Amazon results. :mhh: *Mad scientist thinking*

Not sold anywhere indexed by the CSE, nor on Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.de Yup, I can confirm your findings. (Frankly, though, I can't believe Blizzard isn't selling the Battle.net edition of this game themselves! :D) However, it would appear Blizzard still supports both the original (http://us.blizzard.com/support/index.xml?locale=en_US&gameId=10) and the Battle.net edition (http://us.blizzard.com/support/index.xml?locale=en_US&gameId=4).

Not sold anywhere indexed by the CSE, nor on Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.de.Confirmed for both Warcraft II - Tides of Darkness and Warcraft II - Battle.net Edition. Therefore, unless the Battle.net version of Warcraft II, with its implementation of Battle.net (a still-supported multiplayer system), requires otherwise, this game can be approved.

Battle.net should not affect the support status for this game, since it is a separate system in and of itself. Blizzard has been using the original BN as a de facto standard for their games' multiplayer until Starcraft II.

I assume that the expansion, "Beyond the Dark Portal" would be approved as well?

Yes. In fact, the archive on our FTP contains both.
