I play Diablo 2 LOD every now and again. Sometimes I'm on everyday and sometimes there is huge gaps between playing time. (enough for all my characters to expire, so more then 90 days LOL). ^^;

Played first time,got lvl 75 necro, stopped bored...
Played second time with LOD , got 80 lvl assain stopped VERY bored...
Played third time with Zy-EL got 1549 lvl druid stopped playing and ask-myself why I actually waste time with THIS??? :eeeeeh:

I still play D2 with the LOD expansion, although I'm really beginning to tire of act 3, I find it tedious and boring. Act 5 from the expansion is great though, nice and a needed addition.

LOL I feel the same about act 3 :blink: And if I can find someone to rush me.. I will ^^; The LOD expansion is cool, and I couldn't play without it anymore. But gaining levels is too easy and characters with the right items are so stong its just stupid.. But yeah, LOL a good game to goto when you have nothing better to do. :ok:

i DESPISE act 3, too dark and the ennemies are just too small to see.

The first half of Act 3 is too long and is indeed horrible - the second half isn't so bad though. If you play in MP just persuade someone to give you the waypoints and skip half of it.

Mad: I think it's the other way around; people who are a bit caps-happy tend to play Diablo.

I played Diablo II without expansion, but I didn't like it. Even first part of game was more exciting. Besides, I switched to D2 after playing Sacred, so graphics in Diablo totally killed me.

I'm playing D2 LoD, but only in single Player or via Lan with my girlfriend.
Used to play a bit Bnet as well, but now I'm too seldom at home (=near Internet).
Still, I love this game.
But after 5 years I'm still not sure if I didn't like D1 more. :Titan:

To me, Diablo 1 will always be better. It has better sounds and music to start with.. You seemed to have so many more options, even without the different branches of magic.

In Diablo 2, if you wanted to live past act 2, you generally had to follow the masses with your character design.. And then you get those PK'ers LOL. Nasty nasty, especially if you play Hardcore. :angry:

I play, but the game gets lame quickly after Act 1. Also, Andariel is a total push-over compared to even the first character in Act 2 (in the sewers).

I just 'bashed' her 12 times with a unique runesword and she died really quickly. Even the poison wasn't too bad, I just teleported back to Akara and got healed, bought an antidote and beat the crap into Andariel again (I have a unique sword that makes my enemies no heal and also has a 35% chance to open wounds. Handy.)

The difficulty just hikes straight away from Act 1 to Act 2.

Well to play Diablo 2 without the Expansion makes about as much sense as playing an RTS game without a mouse. The expasion has increased resolution, more items, more monsters, more everything. Why would one want to take the option of less?

Anyway I have something to admit - I am a Diablo 2 addict ... or at least I used to be. I can honestly say without a shadow of a doubt, that I have not played a single game anywhere near as much as I have with Diablo 2. The game I wasted the 2nd most amount of time with, doesn't even come close to halfway with regards to Diablo 2.

I honestly think I lost a few months of my life playing that game.

Then one day, at the beginning of this year, something clicked in my head. After years of playing the game online, I said to myself, "Why the hell are you wasting all this time trying to find items from bosses and why am I wasting all this time trying to level characters" - This was of course after the 150th Mephisto run or something and I was so sick to death of that game at that moment, that I haven't touched it since. Thinking back now, I can't believe I wasted so many weekends playing that game non-stop, not to mention all those other nights during the week ....

That's right ... I'm Diablo 2 free now for 110 days and counting and I am hoping that Blizzard does not ever release another patch for that game or I am going to be hooked for another few months again ... 'sigh'.

I know I'm an addict because I have left the game 6 times already, only to return a few months later again.

So Blizzard keep away from the patches ... pretty please.
