Win98se And Conventional Memory

Is it possible to clear up to at least 610k conventional memory in Win98SE (or any later Windows)? If so... how?

um, would that involve ending every single unnecesary process and the like? I would assume that with any operating system, you cannot completely clear the memory out but a good majority of it....

I got two DOS shortcuts. Ona is without CD driver, but with sound and mouse driver. 622KB free.

The one with CD rom driver is 598KB.
