Does anyone have the full version of the windows game Operation : Inner Space? I tried going to their website, but I cannot buy it. Does anyone have the full version download?
It's a old shooter game where it uses your computer icons to collect...

Sorry, but since the game is still for sale, it hasn't been abandoned and classifies as warez - which we don't condone over here.
It's a fairly good game, and worth the purchase.
EDIT: Although I must admit the price they ask for it is just ridiculous.

Anyone ever hear of Operation: Inner Space? It was a Windows game from about 1995 (EDIT: 1994 it seems) in which you had to clear your harddrive of a viral infection by flying around in a 2D space fighting off attacks from other ships. It'd probably take a looooong time with modern harddisks - anyone know if it's abandoned (or rather if it's not)?

That really was a nifty game, I had a CD with a big demo collection as a kid, and this was one of my favourite demos :D
Sadly, it isn't abandoned though, would be nice to see this on Abandonia :/

I completely agree. I stumbled on it a few months ago and been outraged by the price of a game I used to play on Win 3.1! :not_ok:

I really want to play a game a played in the 90`s and I don`t remember the name.
The point of the game was to destroy all "virus" on your computer by entering the computer with your space ship.
You choose wich folder you wanted to clear, and you killed everything. Sometimes there was races to I think.
Anyways, it looked like a space shooter.
If anyone knows, please help! (I loved that game :) )

The game was called Operation: Inner Space.
I'm unsure about its current abandonware status, but afaik it may be up on Abandonia some time soon.
Not quite sure, though.

Ok, my turn now.
In those good old days, when you got shareware cs's for your birthday, i got one too. It had this game, i believe the title had something to do with virus. It was a top down arcade shooter. i was this little aircraft, home designed, and i could select one special weapon. The similarities with the scrolling down arcade games with xenon end here.
The game used your c:\ layout to define the games "area of action". evey folder was a map, where other ships could be found with whom you'd have a relation. There are pirates and police ships etc. And after destroying a ship you could pick up its special weapon, wich is considered an atrocity by the police shipts. Every now and then, when you try to enter a map, a demon comes and tries to suck you into the middle of the map and thereby killing you. any idea what this was called? something with virus or deamon......
Cheers. Djurre

May I point your attention to the rules sticky (http://www.abandonia.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=13107)?
6. One game (or series) = one thread.[/b]And7. Don't post your own request in somebody else's thread.[/b]
Therefore, this post has been split into a separate thread.
As Operation: Inner Space is still sold, it will not appear on Abandonia. The matter has been extensively discussed in the past, here (http://www.abandonia.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=8813).
Furthermore, as you have already posted a new thread on the subject, this one will be locked.
Thank you for reading this post. Please pay more attention to the rules next time.

Hey guys... I'm new here and i really want to find out what this game is called...
so its like this "space shooter" type game... the object is to go inside a computer and destroy its virus... btw its NOT the game called VIRUS i looked at it already - and you fly around in space and you can choose from like 50 different ships and "teams" to be on. You can play different missions, like a race or something. You can have these team battles and stuff and the other ships talk to you. Theres like this narrator lady voice that tells you when a team member is hurt... and you press a button and some emergency ambulance thingy comes to save you. i dont remember everything, but the beginning of every mission you are in front of this computer and your ship flys into it as this lady voice is like "good luck" or something... and you can customize your ship depending on how much money you have......
theres a bunch of different ships to choose from, like a shark or teddy bear or a pirate and they all have these "personalities" in a way...
thats as much as i can remember, if anyone know the name of the game PLEASE tell me!!! Thanks guys!! <3
