I picked up the version from the link provided and it doesn't want to run on XP. It keeps crashing with "Internal Errors"; do I need to adjust the program to be Win95/98 compatible or did I miss something?

Yeah you might want to try adjusting it to see if it'll help, you never know it could fix the problem.
