Do you mean this (http://www.robinhood-game.com/web/en/robinhood.php?m0=news.txt&m1=news-archive&menu=0&id=0) Robin Hood?

What three copies????

Those other two are expansions of first part. Heroes 3 are too stupid to play without Armagedon's blade and Shadow of death.

I bought all of the complete versions for all of the HOMM games up to three for ten bucks,

Christ, thats pretty good, you'd be lucky to find ANY old games in Australia, that's why i was so excited to see HoMM3 and Disciples 2

Yobor

I have never played any disciples. Is the first one Abandoned?

Dreadlord
02-04-2005, 02:08 AM
No, it came out in 1999, but that's not the point, it's still being sold.

Heroes of Might and Magic 4 stole quite a bit from Disciples 2, so you'll probably like it :D

Yobor

Well, HOMM4 IMO was a dissapointment. It was dumbed down to be like a crappy PS version I have played, "Quest for the Dragon Bone Staff".

Did you just make that title up? Cause it's really stupid.

Disciples games are both great, but I thought they were a bit "wacky"

Yobor
02-04-2005, 02:42 AM
? Saying because I made it up it is stupid ?
And no, that is actually the title of the game. I should look into buying this "Disciple" game.

Dreadlord
02-04-2005, 02:49 AM
Nah, it's hard to believe it's the actual title.

Disciples is a really good game.

But Age of Wonders is still better than both HOMM & Disciples.

Yobor
02-04-2005, 02:58 AM
Is Age of Wonders a game like Age of Empires?

Dreadlord
02-04-2005, 02:59 AM
WTF? Uh, not until the sun bursts into a million pieces cause Elton John sings too quietly.

I can't explain it, I'll give you a link Age of Wonders (http://www.ageofwonders.com/)

Age of Wonders 2 is a really decent game

Did you get this "6 fantasy pack" from Auran?

I got that a couple months ago and the Robin Hood game is a very good game, definently the best out of the six. Unfortunately I was about 40% through it took me about 20 hours to get that far, and then the game froze so I had to restart my computer I went back into the game and my saved games are gone. I tried replaying it but it got very boring.

I don't know about disciples (I only had the orignal D2), but both armagedons blade and Shadow of death don't need the original to work, and unless memory fails me one of them actualy had the original camapign as a bonus, so there's no reason to get RoE.

P.S. allso for people who are interested in Heroes I recomend this link: http://www.strategyplanet.com/homm/wog/index.shtml , it's an unoficial expansion, and I think it's pretty cool (you'll need SoD though)

You're right. YOu don't have to have Other two expansions for game to work, but without those two expansions, game sucks alla grande! :not_ok:

a1s
02-04-2005, 11:56 AM
that isn't the point! I only got SoD (I was given RoE by a friend earlier for a bit, but since I don't have it now- it doesen't count), and it's fine without anything else. I never said you don't need the expansions- just that you hardly need all three!

@screcrow: yeah man its the 6 pack :D i actually bought Robin Hood about a year ago but my brother 'borrowed' it

I also found a lot of games in Stockholm.

Broken Sword 1 & 2
Longest Journey
Heroes of Might and Magic 4
Sacrifice
Sam n Max
Robin Hood - The legend of Sherwood
Day of the Tentacle
Full throttle
Omikron
Myst 1, 2 & 3

for ~ ?65

It's a lot of money, but I don't think it was expensive (?5/game).

Also for some reason I can't run Legend of Sheerwood on my computer. I've got all the requirements covered, but I'm running XP Pro with SP2, maybe that's it?

*edit*

Found out the reason Robing Hood wasn't working was due to Zone Alarm running. I disabled it, installed Legend of Sherwood and run it again and it works fine now.

Man that game list with the Broken Sword series, heck even Omnikron, now that was a good deal, it'd be so nice if I could get anything remotely like that, half those games, I haven't run into in any stores, except Full Throttle.

It seems to be some kind of trend here in Sweden nowadays to have at least one shelf of "bargain" games... I like that trend! :D

Now I just need to find time to play all these games. With a girlfriend and college taking up time I believe these will last me well into next year. :max:

DeathDude

If I ever saw a shelf with those kinds of games, I'd probably buy em all, the thing is here, half the bargain games, are either no-name games, or games that are still fairly recent, good example is the EA Sports titles.

MdaG

The bargain games here are either second hand (used games) or "best buy", "sold out", "xplosiv", "white label" etc. They usually sell for ~ € 5-12

Last summer I bought Bard's Tale 1 and Neuromancer floppy versions (the BIG floppies) with perfect original manuals, code-wheels, extra stuff, packaging etc. for about 1 € each. I also got Fallout 1 and Dungeon Keeper (1) Gold for 3 €.
I have also found Star Trails of Arkania trilogy, and collection of small shareware games (Halloween Harry, Jazz Jackrabbit etc) for few €.

So, while Sweden has bargain shelves, Finland has random treasures. Wouldn't this mean that Finlands wins the latest Suomi-Sverige competition? :D

Age of wonder with one expansion pack sells here for 10 bucks (jewel case).

I did not get it, as now I like to know a bit more about game before I purchase it.

Couple weeks ago I got Mechwarrior II (PS - used), AVP2 (PC - new), Tenchu - WOH (PS2 - new) and another 2 PS2 games and Railcoster Tycon 2 for total of $50.00.

EB Games, GameSpot, Best Buy and CompUSA rules! :D
