I was wondering is bobenstein 3d is abandonware?

The site of the creators (StupidSoft) is down at the moment.

I had never heard of this game, but it's apparantly a rather poor clone of Wolf3D, but non-violent. You toss rotten eggs at enemies and shoot the with a water pistol, after which they keel over (sleeping I guess)...

Repup, that's the one. I thought there would be a full version but I am disappointed that it did not come up as full version.

Thanks for your help anyways and I will contact the server to try and get it.
