I hereby invite anyone who feels the same way as myself that the sig rules should increase the maximum width of a sig to 150px. This is a general size used in sigs and whilst being larger than the present allowed size (60px) is still reasonable and allows the use of a reasonable canvas to construct signatures on.
I totally agree with the arguement that large sigs are annoying and completely unnessary, but i find the present size of 60px unreasonably small to do anything remotely artistic in.
If im out of order please delete this and PM to tell me why. Otherwise i hope this will be a constructive petition to improve the forums to facilitate the enjoyment of all who use them.

I don't think you are out of order but this was in the wrong place. Moved to comments and suggestions.

You see this is what i don't understand:
Why would you think you were out of order???
We don't exercise communism around here so you are free to make suggestions

I support the petition! As an artist, I have to agree it's rather limiting. It's hard enough to make avvies at 100x100 that look decent. 60 pixels... bleh.
But not too big, obviously.
Edit: With all these sig discussions lately, my "badge" is making me feel hypocritical, LOL.

at least a size of 100x450 would not be to annoying and fit everyones needs.
EDIT: as for the bandwith, the 30kB restriction should remain. to me that's the main point and not the height or width of the sig.

I still find 60x450 big enough. Got to learn to see limitations as a challenge :bleh:
@kon-tiki: there was a time i did 400x120 sigs. now my standard size is 400x90. i have learnt about limitations once before, i see no need to make all of my sigs size 400x60 from now on. why? i have done it once before and i am not willing to make those permamanent changes again.

Your current one's 60x400 and awesome. I don't see what the problem is then. You're under the limitation, not even on it, and got a cool one.
im only using this sig size for these forums, that means i have to make 2 versions of my sig (standard size and reduced size)

This is a petition for bigger sig sizes. If you don't agree, there's a discussion on the topic in 3XBlah.
And @JJXB & Kon-Tiki: Both of you have nice sigs. But that doesn't mean it's not difficult for the rest of us peons to come up with something we really like. :D

Just a big :not_ok: from me. Once we start putting up bigger sigs - that won't be enough, so someone will start asking for even bigger...
You want a sig - make it small enough.

You people realize that a thread is increasingly hard to read, the more it is perforated by huge graphics that serve no purpose whatsoever? ;)

I don't care as I disabled them in preferences.

If you can disable them in preferences when it becames too annoying then why the sig limiting?

Wich big signatures you take too much bandwith from the server
Braindead: small or big sigs doesn't matter for server bandwidth since sigs are hosted elsewhere...
