hey guys, I have a funny little question. Do you say "C plus plus" when you say C++? or "C double-plus" or double cross c method??LOL, just wondering ccause c plus plus sounds dorky to me and kinda wordy, is there an abriviated form of saying it?

I think its C Plus Plus... I think it comes from the ++/-- code (increments), were C++ was an increment of C

Out loud, you mean? No, I'd say C plus plus.

When I'm speaking with other people I say "C plus plus" (realy fast), but when writing the name I write "C++" (find me someone that writes C plus plus! :eeeeeh:).

As I don't say stdoubleol, I won't say C double plus, either. It's longer than saying C plus plus, anyways, so I keep it at the simple and recognizable C plus plus.

No way. Sounds like you'd like to watch somebody urinate if you'd say that

C-double-plus sounds like something out of Orwell's 1984 ...

:D

*chimes* It's C-plus-plus ;)

Though, dunno why I'm saying that, as it's been said a hundred times, hehe.

:bye: Let me be repatative C plus plus. I have never heard it called anything different. Though when written it is written as C++. :D

Double-plus-ungood!

Actually, I tend to call, it cpp when I'm talking to people who'll understand what I mean, but really I use C++ more often.

-> Further to what was said earlier; C++ is an upgrade to C, but was not considered enough of one to warrant being called D. C was the successor to B

Ok thanx people, the reason I asked is cause I'm new to programming, and I was just wondering if there was an abriviated was of saying it, cause c plus plus in my opinion sound like something you'd say while watching someone urinate while eatting a ham sandwitch, in tibet, on a roller coaster.
_smiles at Kon_tiki....cpp........heheh

Then you catch an aeroplane from Lhasa and land at Mt. Everest to take a swim there. :D
