Help With Sound Problems

I can't get the sound to work in monkey island 1, dott and kq5. Any ideas what might be the problem and how I can solve it, I'd really appreciate it. Btw dott is a cd version I've had for years and tried it on different computers, but it just wont work!

Try running the game thru ScummVm you can get the program at www.scummvm.org this should help with the sound problems, hopefully.

Note this should only help Monkey Island 1 and DOTT, as for King's Quest, try running dosbox.

okay thanks, so how do I run that dosbox thingy? I'm not so good with technical stuff, hehe

Remember: Some games here don't have speech packs or music packs in order to reduce the file size. They still have minimum sounds but If you think you are having problems getting the sound to go "like it used to when i was little" just make sure that the sound is meant to work in the first place :ok:
