I also have a free account on 4shared.

This situation has already happened to me. Whenever this happened, 4shared would notify me via e-mail and offer to reactivate my free account.

I reactivated my account and my files, all small sizes, were recovered.

Maybe in your case it is better to create an account on Dropbox, because both the paid version and the free version do not occur this, I guess.

I just found the reminder email, however, it is only valid for 30 days, after that, the account is gone for good. I will look into using Dropbox.

Dropbox shows comparison of various individual plans (https://www.dropbox.com/plans/individual?oqa=acc_plan_upgrade) and business plans (https://www.dropbox.com/plans/teams?oqa=acc_plan_upgrade).

In the Dropbox link there is no indication of the need to access the account periodically under penalty of deactivation of the account.

On the other hand, the free account space is only 02 GB. At least it could be 20 GB! :sick:
