There is a cheat that allows you to use your own pictures for the scramble game of puzzle. If you have a picture from your camera just convert it to 256 color Microsoft Bitmap format. The dimensions are 320x200. Please make sure it is not compressed. There are two possible choices to save in Microsoft 256 color format: (1) compress and (2) uncompress. Both needs to be set to 8 bit. Well for New Years look for a New Years picture by the end of the day if you don't want to do the work for your own pictures. Thanks. Cheers and drink water! hehe

I've been busy with a few other forums. This one game was made for Microsoft Windows XP and works natively in it. However if you have pure DOS meaning a true DOS hardware machine with high processor speed it should work too. There is a plan to increase the speed through optimization for future work coming soon! Although DOS is slow at 25mhz I'm hoping to be able to streamline it. Look for the Abandonia label too in future works.

The pingpong game has been redone for speed and tailored especially for DOSBox 0.74 set to 3000 cycles. For higher levels you could increase the cycles or slow it down if you need to. Look for more to come!:OK:

This will work on MS-DOS true MS-DOS hardware except you have to extract two files:

JZUSINRI.0ad
JESUS.exe

Also, the hardware needs to be faster than 30mhz (preferably equal to Microsoft Windows XP speed). However the point being the software is compatible with MS-DOS 6.22 at least.

Now for this particular link I am going to put a restriction on the OS. I am going to have a prerequisite of Microsoft Windows say maybe from 2000 onwards to 10 at this point.

There are two files in the download folder for ping pong. The one is an image background and the other is the main game and intro.

I have been able to increase the speed enough that it is fast enough to be tolerable for a 30mhz machine. However for faster true MS-DOS hardwares the game speed increases accordingly.

This can be played in DOSBox 0.74 or compatible with varying cycles depending on your preferences. Just please keep in mind that higher DOSBox 0.74 and compatibles are not true hardwares but merely indicates the potential of a faster hardware. So if you have a 133mhz hardware the game plays faster.

You also need both files for the game to run successfully!

I just wanted to give a couple explanation for my credit scrolls.

First I give credit to GOD 0 A.D.; You see... GOD has always existed. He made both good and evil. The good is known to be Jesus Christ who came down and died 0 A.D. for all his followers. According to The Holy scriptures those who choose Jesus Christ 0 A.D. are worthy of GOD the creator of all that is!

Now here is the problem. Evil cheats and usually wins in the beginning. Remember the story of Jesus Christ 0 A.D.? Jesus Christ 0 A.D. went through life without any glories except a handful of helpful people who mourned for him although Jesus Christ 0 A.D. helps many out and that's the problem... Evil wins in the beginning.

Here is the second point those who are on the good side when they die they are bless with a good name. You say what the heck is a good name when I had a bad life? The answer is your good name brings karma to your family. When you kid grows up and is hungry someone helps your kid out because your goodname is remembering in their mind that they owe you.

So you see good truly wins in the end. However evil has so many temptations. Money. Status. Power. Fortunate.

My situation is I try to eliminate the problem while keeping the good. I try to reap some kind of rewards in my life. So I choose GOD 0 A.D. The reason I added 0 A.D. to the end is because GOD favors Jesus Christ 0 A.D. in the scriptures. There are 5 states in life: Good through Jesus Christ 0 A.D., Bad through evil, middle through GOD 0 A.D., none of the above, or some combination of the above.

Okay. Now we have the benefits of each.

GOD 0 A.D.: THE CREATOR OF ALL (I don't need to say anymore).

Jesus Christ 0 A.D. not the fake one these days but the one from 0 A.D. who perform true miracles: God 0 A.D.'s only loving true son!

Evil: gets the worldly good while alive however suffers in hell for 1000 yrs.

If you are none or a combination of the above God 0 A.D. just ignores you.

Now for my software: It took me 43 years give or take of living to learn to program to the point where I get something good out. I see my biggest competitor is Quake. When I look at Quake and I have the official copy it awes me and amazes me, but it brings a scary feeling into my life. When I enter the darkness of the game I don't want to be trapped in the world!!!

So I am the opposite of Quake. You notice I bring to mind the image of GOD 0 A.D.'s family The Original Jesus Christ 0 A.D. and Mary Immaculate. That is the point of my design. It is the opposite of evil! I owe my real two parents for bringing me up on the good side of life: mom Vu Thi Thuyen Huong and dad Nguyen Binh Thuy. I looked up to my two sisters Nguyen Khoa Thuyen and Nguyen Khoa Thi for graduating while I didn't.

Well I've managed to get some re-writable discs that costs too much for my own blood. hehe However it is worth it. I took out the ole VirtualBox of MS+DOS and tested PingPong on there. So it seems MSDOS true hardware works with a minimum spec of 33mhz. Of course your mileage may vary hehe

If you have faster machines you can slow your speed down with the new option key. Plus or Minus and *

Anyways if you press * the speed is low.

If you press - it reduces the delay time.

Well I've been working hard for the last two and a half years for very little but today it paid money. j/k Well if you look at me I look humble hehe Anyways I know others have done this before but it is my second time doing so. I am implementing a commandline catcher. So lets say you want to play Pong138 and you want a certain delay... say 1000 then you would type in at the black and white screen: Pong138 1000

Ok lets say you are running this in 32bit Windows XP since 64bit sometimes crashes so you guess it is a fast processor then you type something like...

Pong138 100000000

Seriously XP needs a delay that much or such hehe

Now lets say you on a real machine MS-DOS 6.22 with Pentium 386 133mhz...

You would type maybe Pong138 12000

Thank you for my real mom Vu Thi Thuyen Huong. She pays for my monthly phone bills so I could get a earphone that comes with the phone. hehe I know Samsung has usually come with an earphone with mic and volume control. I do not know about Apple, but I bought an Apple earphone twice so far within 10 years and they make them good! Samsung is fine. The one I just got for my monthly pay is good sounding, but cheap material. It is from Cricket. The good thing about my phone is it is *made in Vietnam*. That is where I come from. Did you all know I once lived off the streets? Yes, it is true that I once slept on the pavement of a church late at night! Did you know that I once did a terrible thing? That was the reason I went homeless. No one would support me. For 2 years I toiled and suffered in a homeless manner. I would go from place to place seeking anyone who would help me out. Luckily California is a place where there is the highest number of homeless. However unlike others I am bless because my own mother Vu Thi Thuyen Huong prayed for me. I heard her prayer one night while I was wandering in California. Then a voice came to me the second time in my life and told me if I do not go home to my mother I will die out in California!!!!!!!!!!!! I immediately went to the greyhound station and placed a collect call to my wonderful mom. Well little my little from that time on I grew rich. Today I collect welfare while living in my own mom's home. I actually rent from my own mom who gets p'd and annoyed by my rants. However she loves me like the only person who can love me. Imagine your own son killed someone. Well that is how my mom feels about me#!! You know it is not right but it is your own flesh and blood..

Today all the law enforcement people knows my record. I have zero privacy. The eyes are everywhere..

One step in the wrong direction and I am gone. No second chances like mommy dear wants.

Today I am sad. I could not do anything for my own mother Vu Thi Thuyen Huong. On the other side of the coin my real mom gave something to me. My brand new laptop crashed because I downgraded it from Windows 10 to Windows 8. It does not have the drivers for Windows 8 internet because it is new. I am sad that I do not get to see too many people in my life. However I am happy that I have the things like electronics. The saddest moment in my life I believe is when my family passes away. I lost my grandma and my aunt and it was the worst for like months. God has filled that void somehow through a divine mystery I cannot understand. Anyways the sad periods are over thanks to GOD 0 AD!!! But I continue to be worried about the future. What I always say is "Thank you Jesus Christ." Thank you Jesus Christ.

I brag that GOD 0 AD is the only good in life! After all he gave me my two real parents who taught me to take care of yourself the best you can when we are gone. My real mom Vu Thi Thuyen Huong and my real dad Nguyen Binh Thuy gave me a head start in programming. They put me through school so I could study at my own pace. Did you know it took me 6 years of community college at L.C.C.C. to get close to a 2 year Associates Degree in Liberal Arts? I remember bodybuilding while going to school at the same time. My real dad Nguyen Binh Thuy is right... physical exercise will drain you of your energy for mental work. I remember in addition to doing those two things I worked part time at the computer room. So 3 tasks at the same time during a brief period of time. Once a school news reporter came in to do an interview with me and I was caught off guard sleeping and dozing off. hehe So the news reporter left annoyed that an interview was going to take place. Then out of school I studied and worked independently for 2 additional years plus maybe a year when I was 8 years old. So all together almost 10 years total in training for programming. I do not know if it did any good however I am happy thank you my The LORD of all hosts. Now a days after years of reading The Holy Bible I am religious to an extreme. I know I am not special and only GOD is special. However I am happy that I get to play with my toys. I might never get to be a NASA programmer and that is okay. For a drop out I am grateful to GOD through the original Jesus Christ that I am a nobody who gets to spend time with my real mom Vu Thi Thuyen Huong when I get a chance. I take it for granted much of the time that having my mom is enough. I see a laptop and look at electronics and think it makes me happy. However without my real mom Vu Thi Thuyen Huong and my real dad Nguyen Binh Thuy I know I am not happy. Although I can get by alone like I just did yesterday night it is not the same. I feel a family part of me missing. She is my real mom Vu Thi Thuyen Huong and my dad is my real dad Nguyen Binh Thuy. Although my real dad Nguyen Binh Thuy is only part of me now in spirit I remember him through programming daily. I am sad that my two sisters have grown so old. They are married now. Well did you know I went to school for programming for 6 college years only to end up a dropout? Furthermore I studied 3 years off the grid from college. So usually it takes 10 years to be a doctor. I have 9 years and I am just giving myself a break for a year so to speak. Therefore I graduated and I am a doctor of programming! Do you know it costs $500 per course plus $250 for each course book? So estimating $1000 for a fulltime load of 5 courses is $5000 per semester. That means my parents spent $10000 x 6 years on me plus my 3 years independent training. That makes my parents rich now if they would have kept the $100k for themselves and screw me over!!! Oh well there $$$ lost is my gain. I owe my parents big time. Now if only hehe

I just wanted to say Hello to all my professors and teachers whether from kindergarten or college. Whether my teachers are in or out of school I am grateful to have their help. I would not be a solid programmer today without all those who are there for me.

Also I would like to say hello to all the Sirs out there who helped me to be a good person like my parents always wanted me to be.

I also like to say thank you to the government for providing me assistance when I was in a bind. I thank not only the government but also the people who make the government possible.

I was born December 26, 1973 in Vietnam, Saigon. Today that area is known to be Ho Chi Minh. It is the center of Vietnam and I am proud to be a Vietnamese citizen from birth to death and beyond! I am proud that I was never once a citizen of another country except Vietnam!!! My two greatest heroes are my real mom Vu Thi Thuyen Huong and then my real dad Nguyen Binh Thuy along with my two real sisters Nguyen Khoa Thuyen and Nguyen Khoa Thi. I have a crush on my only friend in life Ho Thi Nga and hope to have a daughter 40 years from now with her. So I am still young and in the mean time I am an aspiring great programmer. I play the board game chess for a hobby when I am bored.

My real family just mentioned came here in 1975 to reside in The United States of America. I am proud of how far we have come. I see my two real parents and two real sisters work hard along with my real friend putting themselves in danger working at a local mom and pop store. It is not fun to be gun pointed and robbed and beaten up because we lived in a poor neighborhood.

So now I am glad that all the bad and neutral points are over. We had a lot of conflicts over the years and ironed them out. Thank you to GOD 0 AD for giving the rest of our lives a happy lives and for infinity too.

It took me 2.5 hard years of work after studying to get this far. Just imagine a trash pickup guy working on their job for 2.5 years. Well you get the point. According to my best beliefs I did this with the grace of GOD 0 AD. I cannot take credit for anything just in case. However it works in MS-DOS 6.22 (at least on VirtualBox in Windows 8). It is a ISO file so maybe that would be better for some. It is just an intro. My first one was tested on DOSBox 0.74 and worked but not on MS-DOS 6.22 (VirtualBox on Windows 8). This has been reprogrammed all in assembly language too and now works in MS-DOS 6.22 (VirtualBox in Windows 8). Nothing to talk about. Just giving GOD the credit. The sign is a plus infinity sign. It turns 3 times. It signals the plus is I am on the side of JESUS!!! (ie the plus equals the cross of JESUS!!!) The infinity is for eternity#

So in this program all in assembly language that I could tell has been rearranged to be a little more readable. I think there is a subtle difference however I was too in a hurry to catch it. It took me the whole day to try to figure out one line out of a thousand or so. It is late and I found it at the last minute almost and I am tired.

Well more features has been added in this Pong1001.exe; mainly, the scroll has been stopped to allow enough processing speed for true MS-DOS machines running at slow mhz. A 25mhz DOS machine is more than adequate to run this game when the scrolling is stopped. In addition to that, a help menu has been included for easy reference of course. Just push the h-key. This Pong game has been made for PG audiences of all levels!

It's not complete. hehe Okay well I noticed a complete silence in my room so I figured I would make a little beep. Unfortunately this might only work for DOSBox 0.74. I tried to tailor the beep duration in agreement with the duration of the game speed. So if you game speed is fast then the beep is shorter. And if you game speed is slow then you hear an extended beep.

For now I am tired out. I am thinking about adding different weapons to the paddles with the progress of each point levels. When the weapons are used it would deplete your points. Well the mediafire directory should be organized enough for the daily finds. One of the compilation has working rapid fire weapon in addition to guidance missile so to speak. There is no menu to map the two addition keys. Also, a rollercoaster scrolling has been included for the shoutouts. The processing routines is a little more complex so a 25 MHz cpu is barely able to handle everything.

Did you know my mother is a hard worker. My real mom Huong Thi Vu was born in Vietnam and moved here in 1975. She was a waitress for under the table cash for a while to survive. Over 43 years later she graduated from her own sweat and blood to be a successful independent business owner. Thank you GOD 0 AD that she is successful now because she can't handle it being a lowly worker anymore. Being 63 she is has much toil in her background to prove herself to anyone in her field.

They worked very hard and consistent from a young age to succeed. They also faced many trials in their life. However my real parents' GOD (ie The Original Jesus Christ from 0 A.D.) have set a name for us. During our lives we have our names smered and our reputations tarnished. But that is what we get for being GOD loving and GOD fearing people!!! In my life my entire immediate family members within our family-unit taught me a lesson I ended up learning the hard and painful way. They told me either you work and study like GOD through Jesus and Mary wants or you fail# I mocked them only to find myself kicked out of their home and eat out of the trash. Every human being is precious and unique to Jesus. We are the image and likeness of God (book of Genesis). So much has He come to show us how the Father is. Whoever sees Jesus, sees the Father (said to Philip). For God so loved the world, that he sent his Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God himself said that he had no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that he repent and live (book of Ezekiel). Jesus would have come to save even if there was only one sinful person. Do you remember the Parable of the Lost Sheep, the Prodigal Son and the Lost Coin?

I realize that you are very anxious and insecure. You depend on God, but God alone is not enough. You also need human beings. Examples? Jesus told the men to remove the stone from the Lazarus tomb instead of ordering the stone to move itself. This shows that what men can do, God will not act unnecessarily. Jesus, in performing the miracle of the multiplication of loaves, ordered the disciples to give food to the hungry people instead of ordering food to come out of nowhere.

A very simple example would be for people to have faith to make money sitting instead of working, for God Himself said that man would earn his bread through sweat on his face (book of Genesis). Besides the wise Solomon compare the laboring person with the ant (but we know that there are slave and parasitic ants :p) (book of Proverbs).

Another example would be the person wanting to be cured by faith, but being drunk, smoker, drugging, being gluttonous, consuming a few nutritious and unhealthy foods. Or be accepted into university without having studied. Or get safely to your destination by driving in an irresponsible, careless way. It has a name: “Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God”.

I could give you more examples, but I hope you understand what I mean. God also said that it would not be good for man (Adam) to be alone. The human being is a social being such as bees, ants and termites.

You also need to depend on trusted people and seek professional help (psychologist). He / she can guide you on how to lessen your anxiety, stress, loneliness, how to act in accordance with standards acceptable to society without being discriminated against and despised.

And if necessary, be medicated (by psychiatrist / endocrinologist) to improve your quality of life and your self-esteem. Surely every person has his own battle and pain as burdens to bear, but what we humans can do, God will not do for us.

As I have been through very difficult and distressing (non-financial - family health problems) times, I know full well what it is like to go through the hard time. I strongly recommend that you seek out a good professional who can support you at this difficult time. May you seek protection and support in the combination of God and human help. Good luck!

Try still link instead if you are interested in one that should work for DOS and tested on 32bit XP. I am trying out a new method so if you put these files in your temp folder and it does not activate the last program you can do that yourself by typing tuyet.exe or it should work if you put it in your c:\ directory. I tested it on a temp directory not C and it worked on my side at least for Window 32bit XP.

The file was getting too big so I had to do a little work to get it to fit into memory in MS DOS (6.22 PLUS). Some of the ones I tested worked for DOSBox (0.74) and XP (32bit) but not for MS DOS fully on my end. It is working on my end now so hopefully that is a better sign.

... Ping Pong for MS DOS etc is complete with the reverse scrolling at least tentatively. No plans for updates are made at this time so far. A level 2 might be possible however please do not count on it. If you notice a footnote in all text in the end, that is where level 2 is planned to be placed. The majority of the coding has been predominately, extremely, and heavily pushed towards the graphics side. Only a tiny portion is dedicated to coding of Ping Pong. There is maybe a handful of mathematical blessings included and that is all. I do not see any further work except for asides that may possibly be added to the public directory. Unless it is major creation like this Ping Pong, most likely, it will not be posted. Once again, programming is my life especially for a living for my family: Vu Thi Thuyen Huong, Nguyen Binh Thuy, Nguyen Khoa Thuyen, and Nguyen Khoa Thi. I have the original CD and have looked and have found Heroes of Might and Magic I for DOSBox 0.74 at 3000 cycles. It should work for MS DOS too however I have not taken the time to check. It is the very first game that I believe to be a cute one for my future kid(s).

I just forgot to mention that this is for Windows XP to Windows 10. It might work for future ones however that depends on how Microsoft's architecture changes or stabilizes.

There are quite a number of files to extract if you want to use it solely for pure DOS machines. You could just copy all the files and start Pong1000.exe. Once again all your extracted files are in c:\tempwork directory and must not be changed. The directory must be c:\tempwork or else my methods do not work and the programs will not deploy in Windows.

Well my time has come to seek long term production. So far I estimate I have a total of 100MB worth of game on 1200 discs combined. I am aiming for a full production of 700MB for a full CD within the next 40 years! It took me 4 years to get at most 100MB worth of production in my estimate. I think my calculation is off however.

Okay here is a brand new one fresh for today. The old is left there so to be a base. Then there is the screen editor that is added on. It is just the beginning. Right now all you can do is j-left l-right I-up k-down 0 through 9 colors and capital A through capital F are also colors. The Return key plots the selected color dot on the screen while s saves and o for load old bitmap. Eventually you can replace the original Ping Pong with your own. In addition to that many more future creations is planned.

I come from a very extreme and upright religious family. My real mother Huong Thi Vu is a devote Catholic; She would revere all that is of the church! In the respected folder there are eight files. The first file you should activate is PingPong.exe and that will activate the rest of the modules. I merely did a brief touchup on the artworks. It is best to run this at 144,000 cycles. In other words this is estimated to be ran on a pure DOS machine of 1500 MHz. I have seen pure DOS machine that goes to 800 MHz currently.

Once again the people listed in the scrolling credits are many of the people in my life that have helped to make the game what it is today. If the scrolling is too hard for you to read you can delete jzusinri.+++ and jzusinri leaving the jzusinri.bkp and jzusinri.0ad because the latter is the standard colors.

... I have decided to try and make all my games run exclusively on MS DOS 6.22 PLUS! Obviously it should work for DOSBox 0.74 and other MS DOS mimicking softwares. The graphics for the PS4, XBOX360, and such are just too much. So I have to try and compete in a lesser niche of my own namely 8bit and 16bit programming. You can see from some of the artworks that DOS can successfully compete in the graphics department with 256 colors. However I am just a newbie. 4 years of programming for the last 4 years is just a Bachellor's degree. Now it is the start of a job. With any beginning there are going to be some hurdles namely you will notice delays, glitches, and the likes. Over time these may or may not subside. Unfortunately I am not a fortune teller. hehe I started late at about 39 years of age with the DOS department, however, I began programming much earlier. My main focus now is to specialize in DOS and hopefully master the field later in my life. I do not know how long I will live, but I hope to be in the profession all my life. I admire those who have the passion to make it big in their fields. I see so many games showcased here that I feel so small compared to the complete package that has been seen. It's been a while since I last made one for Windows XP and above. So here it is again with new features like the ones for DOSBox except it is done automatically for you.

The attached DOSBox 0.74 software have been tested at 144,000 cycles. It could probably use max cycles. Also it should work for 32bit XP and Win2K.

This is a fix for the glitch where the saving function and loading function would not work correctly due to the way 32bit XP saves and loads.

The one in the latest just posted only has 1 backup. So if you press s for save it ends up saving JZUSINRI.+++ and JZUSINRI.BKP. So if the odd file that is problematic would not load for .+++ extension then the .BKP would be loaded. So please just disregard the period key for backup savings unless you an advanced user.

The lesser file types of +++ and no extension works on my DOSBox 0.74 however it is troublesome in Windows 32bit XP. The iso file has been tested in MSDOS6.22PLUS while the exe file has been tested in Windows 8 while the rar files have been tested on DOSBox 0.74 at various cycles. W

Well after trying to sloppily put together a quick patch I decided to take my time and do it right. So this time it looks better and better packed. The game phase is complete and so is the preliminary editor. The preliminary editor is pretty complex using up all 26+ keys on the alphabet! The instructions are located in the readme file named 'menu.txt'. It is set to run at 144,000 cycles for the Windows XP and above one while DOSBox 0.74 was tested at 144,000 cycles. MS-DOS 6.22 PLUS has been tested at high end machines. However the processing for the helix messaging is highly cpu intensive so you may need to turn it off with the ~ symbol when using humble true DOS machines running at 33MHz. Anyways this was designed to run even at low DOS cycles of 3000 with the helix messaging off. I hope you enjoy playing PingPong at least once in a while. And hope you like the Abandonia referral in the h for help menu. hehe

I do not know how far this will go however I need to take a brief break. I was just listening to Jaren & Matiska Radio and they were good for the last 3+ years however things are changing so I do not like the new ones that much lately in the past two or three days. They have changed names and everything. However I know groups will change... I guess.

Anyways, now about my program. I did not mention that you have the option of installing the pingpong.rar in a brand new fresh clean directory or use the old one. If you install the pingpong.rar in a brand new fresh clean directory then you will see all the original picture again. The only thing is you only need to press n in the beginning if you made your own drawings.

If you install to an old directory then you should be able to use your own jzusinri.bkp file. In that case you also press n in the beginning when your screen is paused initially.

y is used on the occasion that you happened to have an advance color specification change... an jzusinri.002 file. That changes your default coloring scheme to different groupings. It is for artists.

All I know about that is Microsoft has a coloring map that can be changed for advanced art and I do not know how to access that. I'm sorry that I am just a programmer not a system know-it-all#

Well, I got so many viruses that I'm not connecting my only laptop to the internet until years later. In the time being my apple iPad will take precedence in it.

Here is an oldie and goodie. It is a backup and partitioning software. Very useful for even MacBook Pro of the year 2011. It is kind of old however it works with my 2016 laptop so I can't complain. When my HP hit with a virus last night I awoke to an unbootable laptop and was so scared I had to buy another laptop. However it turns out that the virus infected the boot sector or something like that. So every time you would turn off the computer and back on it would not even boot up the disc drive. So I had to reset the BIOS and reset all the partitions where the virus hit. That means a complete deletion of all the hard drive. Arghhh. So I could not do that since Windows did not work anymore. So I used this:

It is supposed to be for backup purposes however I used it for deleting all the partitions that were infected and installing a new.

I tried to boot from the although Windows 8 install disc however the virus detected that is what I was trying to do so it interrupted it. Arghhh. hehe

No problem so I had to use a 3rd party software to delete every single partitions and then use the Microsoft Windows 8 install backup disc again. Yeah. It finally worked after about maybe 30 minutes. However time flew by so quickly and now it is like after first shift working hours. I had to reinstalling many of my softwares back. So I have like 5 DVDs-RW and 10 CDs worth of info that I needed to retrieve. Time flew. I do not remember what time I awoke maybe 8am and now it is 5pm just for restoring! I guess that's what you have fun with when you do your job for the past 43 years of your life on the computer platform. You just like it one day out of the blue as they say it.

So I guess I am just going to have to be friends with my friend that is a girl and one day I will just fall in love out of the blue like they say I guess too. Maybe you can learn to fall in love? hehe

Oh by the way please wait until the uploading is finish. I get to have the directory listed however the upload is not complete yet last I looked. There should be 2 files used by a burner to burn a CD that is bootable.

Well, here is PingPong again of course. I just redid the menu and took out 3 keys: E R and T. I figured E and R are not defined yet. Also, T is ugly text so I am doing without that for now since the people could just make their own text on the fly. I am keeping the W key because the rotation routine needs it before to buffer the image before it could process anything in the image otherwise there is nothing to process in the buffer. The A key has been redefined so to backup without a file extension. That is a special key for ultimate backup. That just means it is a last resort backup that you make on your own before doing any major art work. Please do not touch that key again or else your backup will be wiped with new image that is on the screen unless that is what you want!

Here is an example I just recalled from Physics class years ago. The rate of fall of an object is 9.8 meters per second squared or something like that. I scaled it to work with the limited resolution of DOS. Anyways hope you have fun looking at the source code. You can use it for your class intro. Just don't tell the teacher you got it online! Besides you need to remember it in your work later on anyways if you are a Physics professional hehe

I have replaced p2.exe so it would be significantly different than the displaying of image for now. I am humble to run this at 3000 cycles or about 25mhz. You are able to run each module separately. Just type p1.exe to run p1 module. Etc.

I will be producing this bouncing ball so it reacts to the images and objects on the screen with certain limitations. So I'll try to see what could be drawn and reacted to. You might have to do the image all in one color and space the objects far enough so the balls have room to move between.

I, Nguyen Khoa Tien, thank GOD 0 AD for this production. It is a program that detects anything that is not the color #12. So if you want just to get to the point just type in p2.exe and it runs a bouncing ball that detects all the letters and eventually devours them all temporarily until you run the program again. hehe

The purpose of the program was to design a detection mechanism that would detect an object in your drawing and react against it!

Well being a programmer I just got a book purchased by my mother. You know how you would launch or run a DOS program? Well if you happen to be in Windows it would show a message that it is a DOS program! Normally you would see this in DOS but not the other way around.

I do not know if I will ever get any good at programming games but I am trying. My mother says keep trying because you have to support yourself one day and I am not going to be around forever.

Oh well I have 700+ pages to go! I hope one day it is finish and I am an expert in Windows and DOS so I can get paid to support all my family and friends.

That stinks. I really enjoy playing on DOS. Too bad I have to use DOSBox! I'm not complaining really. DOSBox is better than nothing. Not only that but brand new DOS machines are expensive these days. I saw a brnd new one for $3000 just within the last year. That's US Dollars on eBay. I want one however it's out of my budget. I do program heavily on DOSBox for an backup way of doing it. Once again better than nothing! Too many people playing Call of Duty these days on XBOX one. My cousin says it gives him a headache with all the First Person Third Person and all. I'm an old folggy now. When I have white hair like my 58 year old uncle you know I'm getting to my grave now sooner or later (please later). Anyways PingPong is really the only game I know and ArkanDOS on DOS of course. I'm too scared of virus to give others a try. I figure if I program my own game I do not have to reboot my own system every 3 months. Usually I don't have that problem with DOS stuffs however it is rare I download DOS games while it is high that I program my own DOS stuffs. I'm not being narcissistic I am being cautious and I want my kids to get something on the nice side of track!!! Oh well it takes less and less time these days programming what I want. I've been busy working on page flipping and that is nothing new. However I've been able to make it load many pages from disc. So if you have a 650 mb CD you could run a 5000 pictures through your computer for a DOS slide show at a reasonable walk speed. Hopefully I didn't get that estimate wrong. I could foresee just taking a walk and taking pictures throughout my life and just putting it on disc. That is if you want to see my life through my lenses. hehe Well besides that I have been praying heavily that my DOS software is successful. Nothing upcoming. So maybe it is all a dream. Anyways I'm not supposed to be complaining of what is not right now. I'm supposed to be happy of what I have in my hands and that is DOSBox with my own programming of my own DOS stuffs even if it is not for others to see. One day my kids will look at me and say you are OLD like I tell my mom. But I love her with all my heart. She and my family are the reason I program in DOS in the first place. Anyways I probably most likely wasted my money on Windows programming because I hate it compared to DOS programming. Windows programming is a polling nightmare. Windows programming is like 1, wait window is processing something, 2, wait window is processing something, window is processing another thing, window will check back with you later, ..., windows again, oh windows. Main downside of any antivirus is disk monitoring that can slow your computer - sometimes significantly. But upside is that you can be free of virus fear. :)

Could you relay to Mr. Japo that I need credentials. I was looking at the ISO cellar and wanted to download Lode Runner however none of the links worked. One of the link was 300+ megabytes however the file was corrupt and would not unrar. Lode Runner is one of my favourite growing childhood games. I used to have it either on the Atari 2600 or Commodore 64/64C. I was looking online and didn't see Lode Runner officially listed on eBay. However there were 40+ pages of DOS games on there.

Thank you for your advice on virus+anti. I just do not install one because the free one I have locks up my computer while the ones you buy are too expensive for my budget. So I just reboot when I get hit. Not a big deal really.

Anyways I've only been studying DOS seriously for the last 4 years. So I only know DOS and I'm sad that there is no outlet for it. The problem is there are so many good DOS programs out there. When I look at my collections of small number of DOS programs and games I see it is loaded up to the 500+ megabytes full of amazing contents. Those games published back in 1900's really make a great impression and the professionals have proven themselves to be worthy of marketing for the money.

Some of the few complaints I might have about KIS would be:

- Very slow update due to the slowness of Kaspersky servers :palm:;
- Sometimes annoying notifications on secure sites :headslap:;
- Not trivial configuration to disable the KIS add-on in browsers :picard:;
- Imperfect uninstallation that requires a program or tool (from Kaspersky itself) to clean and enable the upgrade :whops:;
- It would be nice if you could upgrade without uninstalling the previous version :sick:.

Make sure you buy a good operating system like Windows or whatever you are using. Make sure it is able to be reloaded onto the system by you.

I've done it. I managed to make a DOS combined with Windows PingPong game! If you have Windows XP or Windows 8 or any other modern Windows you can run the game by double clicking. If you want the play the DOS made one just put it in DOSBox or true DOS and it should run.

In Windows you start the game by pressing the lowercase I or K keys that moves it up or down respectively. In DOS it is the same game except without all the fancy artwork. Both are pretty plain.

I don't know why the forum is quiet. However I have an idea for issue 4. I have produced 50+ discs with the artwork of my LORD and savior and his mother. So I am willing to team up with Abandonia to include the contents on the discs. Just like TotalAnarchy says... a little goes a long way. A small group starts and big happens in the future.

Did you know my family went to America with absolutely nothing in 1975? We were helped by an American church and we started working from the ground up. Today we have our own business and home!

I was thinking of selling my PingPong game on my disc however I also found the content was lacking. My PingPong is under 1 megabyte total content while the disc holds 650 megabytes! So far it didn't sell too well. Actually I got zero sales so far from eBay and blujay.com.

So let me know what you people think. It costs me $1 to produce 1 disc with the artwork and a minimum of 100 discs. The most expensive part of the deal is taxes, and that goes for 35% and shipping is just equal to that. So if you are going to make it worth your while you need to sell at $10 to $12 per disc and that means you are only making a few bucks at the most!!!

I was surprised in recent news that my two sisters have been busy. Not only did they get their official University degrees but also they have at least 2 kids!!! My mom has been hard at work learning how to do the lawn herself in addition to her work. My dad has completed his helicopter flying lessons.

I on the other hand have been trying to break the barrier of programming in more ways than one##### Recently I have burned more data than the disc could hold. Conclusion: Back to the drawing board. :blush:

Just taking some preventive medicines. I figure it takes some time for viruses to be in so I figure I reinstall it on a regular basis while the system is operating. I am working on my studies like my parents want me to. I never graduated officially so I am always studying in my spare time. It is like I want to be able to program without a degree because it is too late for me. It is too hard for me to study 150 pages a day now for a 5 load course. When two courses at over 55+ pages a day is too much for me to take. Today I woke up and normally I feel fresh to study right in the morning when I wake up. However it was hard for me to get a page done. A page full of information at 12 pt size is a lot for me. I have to concentrate hard with all the drugs that is prescribed for me from diabetes to bipolar disorder!!! I am grateful to my family especially my mom who is around. She wakes up and all she expects from me is to keep the house clean and the yard neat. My mom says I am doing a good job however she just wants it a little more robotish. She likes the yard machine cut however I usually use the tool that mows the grass without gas in it. It is an actually grass cutting like a grass lawn mower except you have to use your legs to move it forward. However she is a perfectionist. She went and did the tidying herself. She says she's happy with my cutting because it saves her money. However once ever 3 months she likes to just do it herself. She leaves the hard work of using the big grass cutting machine without gas power to me and uses the trimmer that uses battery for 30 minutes. She says exercise is good for her age. I told her I already did everything earlier. She says she knows however she just wants to tidy things up.

Programming News:

Well after reading the first few chapters of Charles Petzold's first book "Programming Windows" I found that there are errors. The pirated Windows and Microsoft C and Microsoft Macro Assembler did not work properly. The funny thing is how God works in mysterious ways.

The reason I say God works in mysterious ways is my mother had bought me Borland tools specifically Borland C 5.5 and Borland Turbo Assembler 4.1 and Borland C plus plus 2.0. Using my officially legal softwares and substituting it for the recommended tools ended up working and I made a Windows software in conjunction with Charles Petzold's book. Thank you God for your mysterious divine intervention that I did not waste my mom's life away on books and softwares and all that does not work.

Anyways PingPong is the first Windows game that I made following reading Charles Petzold's first book with the addition of my programming background.

So this is for all those who have read my official review of Charles Petzold on eBay that you should use the above mentioned tools with Windows 8 and Windows XP.

Once again the breakdown of the prerequisite to Charles Petzold's "Programming Windows" 800+ page book (first book produced in 1988) [Yikes that is 30 years old!!!]. Goes to show old still can make Windows in Windows 8 and Windows XP and beyond probably with the following software if you buy the book:

Borland C plus plus 2.0 (includes 3000+ pages worth of books combined)
Borland C 5.5 (the 32bit c/c++ compiler for Windows)
Windows XP (with internet disabled because most prone to virus nightmares)
Windows 8 (tested to produce Windows game PingPong)

And last is Charles Petzold's book officially titled:

It humbles a person to study and work in programming. Programming is not easy like people would like to say it is. The artwork is good quality however it is not enough to sell to the public at this point in time and maybe never will be# So the saddest part of my life is that I have to depend on my family who are all professionals while I am an aspiring programmer############

I have the product produced however it is not really a popular product. Who wants to play a boring game of PingPong when they can sit and play Indiana Jones and the likes for hours? Not many if any.

So I am humble being a Vietnamese Citizen in America. I cannot obtain and keep a stable job being a weak slow learning programmer. But I am proud of my family members who all made it being a converted American Citizen. They work hard and made it in America.

My parents always say one word and that is so encouraging. It is so simple yet affective# When you are down to your last and have nothing left that simple word JESUS! Then it changes everything in your life and it uplifts your life for the rest of your life. You can succeed at last. Maybe you are not Einstein or in the NFL but your life is happy and well thought out and taken care of. You know you always have that something left to draw from if all is lost. You know that safety net is there for you. You know that when your OS crashes because you didn't backup or whatever that you have an actual backup that you didn't throw out deep down in the pile of trash in your closet somewhere. You know out of that 100 discs that the ones you threw out wasn't the end of your career. You know that you have spares. You know that when you car breaks down you have spare tire in the trunk. You know that you also have a cell phone to call your daughter to pick you up if you can't change the spare. You know you have backups. So make sure you backup backup backup. It is so important from a programmer's perspective to backup. There are times when just that last crash was saved because you backupped the day before.:smile2:

There was a glitch that caused the game to mess up the display screen after minimizing and maximizing the screen. There is now a key to fix that and a extra option.

I to move up and start the game.
K to move down (both lowercase small letters).

! to fix the glitch after it has occurred.
* to circularize text (do this while the screen is maximized).

Typing in all capitalize text will cause the maximize screen to print text instead of moving the game paddle.

I son Nguyen Khoa Tien have recently set up 5+ operating systems:

I am excluding DOSBox because that is considered DOS and is basically the same thing. I think.

Anyways I have officially tested my latest PingPong game on all 5 systems and it works. For earlier versions of Windows and DOS it should work too with the included PingPong. So 5+ in one package. Just know that there is no goal except for what you put into it.

I wish I would have kept my Win95 and Win98 so I can test it out on those too. I know Windows 2.0 and Windows 386 is not working from my unofficial pirated download of those operating systems. The other Windows I either received officially or bought from an official family member.

I used to have the Win95/98 discs however I didn't think I would ever need it. Arghh. hehe

Do you know I have like 1200 backup discs laying in the closet? It is true. That is 12 of the 100 pack blank discs that I have filled. It has saved me much trouble. I have laying around a collection of maybe 12 games I made back in my days. I hope to try to go and find it and put it all in one place..... maybe. However I have released it for freeware many years ago.

I found 3 noticible games that have been published that you might like. The other files are demos. However there is Tic-Tac-Toe, Gunner, and ArkanDOS. Tic-Tac-Toe has 3 levels from easy to hard. Gunner is an aircraft simulation in outerspace while ArkanDOS is like Brix or Arkanoid.

Well after reviewing GOG.COM I realize my DOS games are not up to standards. Seeing all the pretty graphics makes me humiliated when I think of all my silly DOS and Windows creations. :mischief:

Just recently my mother bought me a Honda lawn mower. I recommend Honda because they have extensive safety instructions. The quality seems to live up to their reputation however safety is the most important key that I recommend it. However with all gas equipment it is NOT a toy!

It took me 10 hours to read through just 25 pages of safe handling instructions. Even then for my first use I had to be sure no one was around to joke around while I operated the high speed machine!!!

To show how dangerous any lawn mower can be it cut through a half an inch thick hard plastic that was covered by all grass so I could not see it.

Thank you Jesus Christ for your graces so that no one got hurt. If you have kids around or elders around there is a hand mower that you push with your legs instead of using gas power. It is a little harder to use however might be worth it if you are serious about safety. It is just in need of someone strong to use it. The gas power mower is meant for people who do not have the strength to use the hand mower. Just be more careful!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well it is Friday and I am relaxing for the weekend. I am not doing any programming for the day if I can help it. It is a quiet morning here where I am. Make sure you eat well so you can be independent all the rest of your lives! You don't want to be eating junk food and end up trapped and with no freedom in a nursing home. My grandma was close to 90 years old when she passed and she always cooked good foods that are homemade so she knew what she was putting in it. She could walk all the way until her last day by herself. Bless her heart she always told me to love people. She passed August 8, 2016. I will always miss her. She was an avid church goer and always thanked everyone around her. So I will try to follow her in her footsteps: "TANK YOU!" - Vu Thi Cau (loving grandma forever)

Well today I will review some compilers that I have used.

First we have Borland C++ 2.0. This compiler has the ability to make Windows software for operating systems from Windows 2000 to Windows XP. It is commercial and I bought it for $135 or so plus fees. The only drawback is it is an old software for developing for old operating systems. The highest it produces Windows runnable software is XP.

Next we have Borland C++ 5.5. This compiler has the ability to make Windows software for operating systems from Windows 2000 to Windows 10. This compiler is commercial for all the knowledge filled books. When I bought it in the year 1996 or so I paid about $500 or more for it. However these days it is hard to find books for it but you should be able to get the freeware compiler that is limited. It is missing the resource compiler so far that I can see.

Last we have LCC-win 4.0. This compiler has the ability to make Windows software. I have not tested this compiler out extensively because it lacks documentations. However it is shareware. This compiler seems most modern and able to produce working softwares for sale. However you have to pay an upfront price of about $50 for just the software and no documentation. It seems to contain all the necessary compiler and linker needed to produce a fully working Windows sellable product. The only drawback is you will have to find official Windows documentation elsewhere.

The moral of the story is: "In all endeavours you need a lot of work. Nothing is easy when profit is involved. However rest assured if you take it one day at a time and do a little at a time like The Holy Bible says then you will complete your task eventually." Hopefully I will have enough time to enjoy at the end of the road instead of running out of time. hehe:(

Well I have all the documentations from Borland and an additional Windows programming book. So I will try and figure out LCC-win 4.0. It should not be too hard to figure out if you are familiar with making Windows softwares. You just have to have the patience to go through thick books. LCC-win seems to be all in C programming language with the addition of a tiny peak learning curve for Windows. Once you get pass the first 30 days of playing around with Windows you should be good to go. This is given you delayed programming in Windows for years:blush: The reason for the delay is some people do not know where to begin while others have a lot of guidance. Yet some will have a full background where they can use trial and error to figure everything out. If you are lost and you really want to program something look for Borland Turbo C 2.0 (professional not freeware distribution). The professional distribution contains Borland Turbo Assembler too. This will get you into DOS programming and a fellow DOS programmer has been known to make a game from it. However it where it has SoundBlaster while mine has no music.

Well I have nothing left. I've given all my methods out for programming. Now it is up to each person to make their own games. I've made 3 or 4 gems in my life however only 1 was copyrighted officially at the copyright office. I think it is other's turn to make their own game. If you are poor just grab Borland C++ 5.5 freeware compiler. It doesn't have the resource compiler where you can make your mouse turn into whatever picture you want or make your icon into whatever you want but you can make marketable games from it. Don't let others fool you into thinking you need the commercial professional market product to make you successful! All you need is a heart and you will get to where you want to be. Remember this hardwon lesson that someone learned a long time ago: It is in Gods time not your time. Be patient for what is good to come. Remember your parents always. They had their down moments before they became successful enough to raise you to maturity so you are alive today!!!!!!!!!!!

I love my mom. She bought me a pack of 100 blank DVDs from Fry's Electronics. She had originally bought me a tablet for about $80 to $100 bucks. Then we had to take it back past the return period because MS messed up the Windows update. What happened was MS told me to restart to update. But what no one had thought would happen was that someone would also reset the tablet. So two functions were conflicting with each other upon restart. The tablet was being Windows updated and also resetted at the simultaneous time. So we had some trouble but after explaining and verifying it wasn't our fault or anyone's fault but that something no one had predicted and out of the ordinary the tablet was returned. We got store credit just in case we tampered with it. I did open the tablet up however it looked so complex that I just closed it back up. I tested it to verify that it was still in the same condition. Anyways after weeks we got verified that everything was okay and we got to buy some stuffs from Fry's Electronics. So my mom got a Hair Dryer and a weighing machine. However she didn't like it. So we just took it back and she got something simple to cook with while buying me a 100 pack of backup discs that does work and has been used and written over so it could not be returned. j/k

Mom..... you are God sent to me! Thank you for being in my life forever. I will always remember all the times you actually bent over backwards for me. You give me Coca-Cola classic from time to time although I have diabetes. You know I couldn't drink plain water all my life :suspicious:

Today I will review some free compilers.

1) First we have Borland Turbo C 2.01 that you can google. It only requires that you put Borland's copyright message up in all your program you use unless you have copyrighted officially your own through the copyright office. However it does not come with instructions. It is meant to compiler DOS games and also a limiting OS up to 32bit Windows XP. Anything pass XP will show an error message. You can find rare instruction books (User Guide and Programmer's Guide) on eBay from time to time!

2) Borland C++ 5.5 is for pure Windows joy. However combined with the above (1) you have from DOS to Windows 10!!! I have tested this to work on the hardest OS there is: Vista. However it is also for free. The only drawback is that it lacks an icon and cursor maker and compiler. I tried to the best of my abilities however unless you have the PRO 5.5 you have to deal with the default Windows icon and Windows arrow point to be the cursor!!!

That's it. Now make your choice poor people: DOS is Borland Turbo C 2.01 while Windows is Borland C++ 5.5. Maybe you are the bless few who make $20 million dollars from programming all your life on a freebie compiler or two? I know God works in mysterious ways to show God is more powerful than any man or woman made substance on earth or below the earth# :OK:

Well I went into the emergency room today at 1 in the morning. I had a bad rash that kept spreading over my arms. The doctor prescribed antibiotic for me to see if it would kill the germs. The itching has gone down and it seems to be stabilizing and even slightly lessening after taking the first dose. It is only 2 hours after taking the first dose however I hope it works. I feel better anyways and my energy is back to normal.

I, Nguyen Khoa Tien, am healing from my bacteria infection. If anyone has an itch try not to itch the skin open so it is bleeding. You'll end up having to go to the emergency room at the hospital and they will have to prescribe for you antibiotics. However I am grateful it is not shingles that spreads all over. I hope. The effected area seems to be disappearing. It has only been 24 hours since I first took my antibiotics.

Thank you Jesus Christ! I can see a patch of my normal skin color showing through the itchy area now. Whew. I was scared for a moment it would not heal.

Well it seems more of my normal skin color is coming back. This time the open wound has dried up scab that is now beginning to flake off. The places where it once was itchy now has dots formed. I am guessing the body has finally develop enough antibodies to combat the bacteria into one place. This is day #3. The estimated time that it should all heal is day #10 minimum to day #14 and in certain instances about 2 months. So the moral of the story is do NOT scratch an itch until it bleeds even a little because a little break in the skin allows bacteria and viruses pass the body's defense mechanism. Then the body has to work harder to fight the bacteria and viruses!

A virus just took my system down for the 100th time. BUT!!! I had a special backup. It always works. I took out my Windows 8 backup DVD and entered my CD-key. Whoah Lah#

Did you know Windows 8 has a special function? It is true. If you ever get a virus or you want to activate over the phone for the first time. Make sure you write the number they give you down. Once you have that number to activate Windows 8 then you never need to call Microsoft center again. Windows 8 always works with that number. After all you rightfully paid hard earned bucks for Windows 8. Day #7. The spreading has stopped and the mecidines seems to be greatly drying out the shingles area. By the way if you have shingles then get plenty of rest. It is a virus and the wound to the skin has to be closed by lotions that dries up the see through liquid that comes out. The see through liquid if not dried will spread to the other areas where it touches. You also have to take other medicines that the doctors tell you. However it seems to be mostly stopped by now so it is a good sign thank you Jesus Christ!:OK:

It looks like it is shingles; The scabs have healed completely. There doesn't look like any cuts in the affected area. Subtle pimps remains evident to show residuals. It is important not to take hot showers! The hot showers seems to make shingles resurface. However keep applying the crème and taking the meds prescribed since it has shown to reduce the affected area little by little. It is not fast healing however it seems sure. This is day #8 and all the scabs are gone and 2 square inches of my original skin is returning!!!!!
