Sorry this has to happen, but since I come and go, this time will be longer, and needs a proper goodbye message to all.

WHAT I'M DOING: Some months ago I began working on ROMHacking (more specifically on translations) and things are going nice after all. I'll keep at it until things get unpleasant or messy somehow.
Anyways, I have lots to do with very little time. All I can do is thank this marvelous community for all these years, thank you all so much! :OK:

NOTE: You can still send me messages but I'm mostly stopping on helping this site get even bigger than it is.

Bye to all.

(If you really want to know how things are going to me, check my site, but it's in Portuguese: ab-gamesinc-br.blogspot.com)
(Se tem alguem do Brasil lendo isso, eu estou me despedindo da equipe Abandonia para me dedicar a traducoes de jogos)

Can't really say I remember you, but that doesn't mean a lot as I've not been a really active member here since about 2010 already. And I know better than to write a "farewell" thread by now, since I find myself returning now and again from time to time, even if only for some short peek.
But I wish you luck with that endeavour of yours.

Hey Patryck, haven't seen you in a while, I guess you alredy slowed down with abandonia.

IIRC, patryck was active with finding and cehcking games, so Cluseck probably knows him better than the rest of the crew.

Anyway, good luck with your project, mate, all the best. Don't be shy to drop by if nostalgia hits you from time to time :)

For what it is worth Patryck... I downloaded Hankerchief and it looks cute. I don't know how to play it however it kinda seems to work in XP. Looks cool for what it is worth. Seems original too.

I just got a good chance to really play the game. It is advertised to work on Windows 95/98 however works for Windows 2000 also.

I got it to install by just clicking on at random the .exe programs and just experimenting. You do not have a folder except on your desktop. Go to one of the exe and double click that after installing and the game should run.

It is a fun game. You use the arrow keys to move and z goes through doors and enter and exit tanks and also if you have money collects health points. x fires weapons. c shoots special weapons and also if you hit certain guards with c you make then your allies.

I got half way through the game. I am on Armarillo. I think there are 5 stages alltogether. I guess Patryck was busy. Very talented programmer.

This game is similar to Bard's Tale I in the sense that you save your last position! When you die you can load from where you left off if you have enough money (Economics). Politics... just be on Jesus Christ good side and you are reborn again (Politics).:OK:

Dear Captain Bible. :hero:

In fact, my message to my compatriot was a pun on our reality in Brazil that only those who live our historical moment can understand my words. In fact, we are really screwed. :headslap: :palm: :picard: :hairpull: :wall:

I usually speak English unless I use hard translation. I'm sorry about any misunderstanding.

Do not worry, Captain Bible. :hero: I and my family are still living well despite the economic and political crisis. :OK:

I will show you some interesting puns with the Portuguese language:

Mr. Mollusco :eww: is very fond of alcohol and claims to be the most honest in Brazil. :headslap: :palm: :picard: The most honest of the Continent. The most honest of the Solar System. The most honest of the Galaxy. The most honest of the Universe. More honest than God Himself. :hypno: :hypno2: :tease: Amen. :zen: :o :omg:

I am so “proud” of Mr. Mollusco’s honesty :eww:. Let’s party with lots of Pinga / Cachaça (Sugarcane Liquor). Burp!  :tease: :drunk: :smugulon:

“Nós nada temos a temer ao Temer, pois nós estamos bem.”

“Nós nada temos a temer ao Temer, pois nós estamos bem mal.” Pun

“We have nothing to fear from Temer, for we are well.”

“We have nothing to fear from Temer, for we are very ill.”

“Pezão (Governador pé-frio cujo sobrenome significa pé grande) acordou com o pé esquerdo, pois o RJ está bem.”

“Pezão (Governador pé-frio cujo sobrenome significa pé grande) acordou com o pé esquerdo, pois o RJ está bem mal.” Pun

“Pezão (Governor pé-frio whose surname means big foot) woke up with his left foot, because RJ is fine.”

“Pezão (Governor pé-frio whose surname means big foot) woke up with his left foot, because RJ is very bad.”

“Anthony Garotinho tem nada de garotinho em se tratando de cuidar das finanças públicas.” Pun

“Anthony Garotinho is no little boy in terms of taking care of Public Finances.”

“Eu e minha família ainda estamos vivendo bem apesar da crise econômica e política.”

“Eu e minha família ainda estamos vivendo bem mal apesar da crise econômica e política.” Pun

“I and my family are still living well despite the economic and political crisis.”

“I and my family are still living very poorly despite the economic and political crisis.”

Ahh... mi hijo and hija teddy dormiandas.

Ahh! My teddy boy and teddy girl is sleeping.

Don't worry Myst... I took Spanish for 5 months and practice in real life for another 5 months giving me a total of 1 year training. Unfortunately that was when I was a kid. Today I am an old geezer croaking over in my graying hair and beard trying to be a wise grown up living in my mother's home in the corner of the room hiding from the public view kneeling down in front of the crucifix/cross of Jesus Christ daily asking for 3 wishes daily. hehe

Ahh! My teddy boy and teddy girl is sleeping. Good night! Have a sweet dreams! And dream with angels!

I will translate to Portuguese:

“Ahh! Meu ursinho (Teddy bear) e minha ursinha estão dormindo.” :OK: Boa noite! Tenha bons sonhos! E sonhe com os anjos! OR

“Ahh! Meus ursinho (Teddy bear) e ursinha estão dormindo.” :OK: Boa noite! Tenha bons sonhos! E sonhe com os anjos!

By the way, being “geezer” is neither crime nor sin nor shame. It is only the natural action of time.

See the dear Geezer (http://www.abandonia.com/en/user/9145). He became Chairman, but eventually retired. :old: :byesad:

http://www.abandonia.com/files/members/1/9145.jpg

His successor is the Cyber-Bonk (http://www.abandonia.com/en/user/33205) :kuger:, current Chair-man :chair:, with incredible cyber powers :rocks: :max:. His “punishment method” is very scary... :chair: Bonk! Bonk! Bonk! Whoa! Eek! Hellp! Hellp! :omg: :o :sos:

By the way, did you know that the Portuguese Language is quite phonetic unlike the English Language?

Thus, it is very easy to read (pronounce) the texts in Portuguese whereas to read (pronounce) the texts in English is confusing. :hypno:

But on the other hand, Portuguese grammar is very complex  :tease: :hairpull: :wall: while English grammar is quite simple relatively speaking. :OK:

How good it would be if the alphabet were phonetic with simple grammar. :headslap: :palm: :picard:
