What would lead you to think you're the only one? Have you checked the rest of the forums for reaction to this title? I think you'll find that quite a few other people really enjoy it. In one topic where we listed our top ten all time favorite games, several people (including myself) included Sam & Max Hit the Road.

Nice game, but I found a lot of the inside jokes/media references hard to understand, being a non-native english speaker.

Gosh, I loved his game so much that I went on Ebay and bought the original floppy version, then the original talky, cost almost nothing but I did have to search awhile.

Not much to laugh about.
This game was hideously overlooked when it came back. Like most games it started to become famous once gamers looked back :D . So it's not that hard to imagine.

Definitely one of the legendary games from back then, it's a great game, love the humour the jokes, the style of the game, it's all so good, the talkie version really is excellent as well, the voices are really are well done.

I remember I used to spend lots of time on the little minigames you could buy at the store.

Those were fun like carbomb,
Sam: Why is this game called car bomb?
Max: To avoid getting the pants sued off us.
Sam: But you don't wear any pants.
Max: Don't remind me.
I loved this game too, but I lost it. How sad is that? In fact, I've lost quite a few of my old games. (I think there's a conspiracy....someone stole them....) Anyway, I did find it on the Interenet somewhere illegally, but it was in Italian and no use to me. I'm just waiting til they give up on selling it now.

I could be evil and E-mail it to you... :sneaky:
The talkie one is way too big but I could manage the original, if you want it
I suggest you use ScummVm (http://www.scummvm.org/), to play the version I have.
Edit: You can just download it here (http://www.victorclaessen.nl/Files/Games/sammax.zip).
P.S. : If the higher ups don't approve of me posting the link, tell me and I'll remove it immediatly :ok: .
