I have been looking for this kick behind game for ages but havent been able to find it (for sale), so this has lead me to believe that this game has been abandoned and i think it would make a worthy addition to the site. :ok:

The prequel (constructor) is available on the site. Yet I don't think street wars is abandonware yet however it would make a very good addition to the site if it can be put up.

Ive tried downloading constructor but it simply refuses to run on xp, so the only alternative is to play the next best thing 'street wars'

Everyone finds games on cdaccess that people think are aboandoware and cant find anywhere else. So i was thinking, cdaccess could just be selling games without paying the royalties for the games. It wouldnt matter if it was sold as long as the company who is making the game is no longer reciving payment for the game.

Quick someone buy it and then put it up on the site. I can't I'm in Wales so the postage and packing would be through the roof and out the other side :(

Can't find it on amazon or play.com so I'm thinking cdaccess may have the only one so perhaps abandoned :D

exactly. Like i was saying CD Access sells abandonware games to make a better profit. If you cant find it on amazon or at the software company website for that matter, then the game is most likely not sold on a comercial market.

All companies sell games to make profit. If a company has games that are out of print, it doesn't mean they have never paid any royalties for them. That's besides the issue anyway, and doesn't go along with the Abandonia values as discussed elsewhere.
Street Wars / Mob Rule is for sale for example at E-CDRom (http://store.yahoo.com/e-cdrom/cd8693.html).
EDIT: Overstock.com (http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?PAGE=PROFRAME&PROD_ID=1078253) carries the platinum version, whatever the difference may be. (Sorry, the link doesn't go directly to the product for some reason.)

I used to play the demo of this game all the time. I've been looking for the cd version forever but I can never find it.

In the UK, it was called Street Wars if that helps. like Constructor, only marginally more violent. I remember it too, it was pretty good.
