Under-User-name Titles (+Quick Q X2)

You know, under your User-Name, there's this little "Title" or "Subtitle" that is your "Rank".:D

Is there a way to customize these, or what?:sneaky:

I noticed they seemed to be in the order of ranks.
I, for instance, am currently an AB Nerd. Heh. I'm not exactly thrilled, but, eh, I'll go with it.:suspicious:

However, it also seems like I've come across some people who have ones that look out of place, also.

Tracker, for instance, has "Seek and Destroy".:whops:

The Fifth Horseman has "Future Science..." and you know the rest.

I saw one that said "Game Wizzard", and another that said "Treasure Hunter".

Wizzard and T. Hunter could very well be part of the normal ranks, along with some others like "Home Sweet Abandonia" and "Newbie".

But unless getting 14,000 posts means you are a "Future Science" Person, then I think something is weird here.:palm:

Users who have reached 100 posts on the forum can use custom titles.

Additionally, administrators can grant user titles that include HTML code (ie: images, styling and colored fonts).

10 goto Abandonia
20 goto 10
is a set of BASIC instructions. Although I don't think it's written correctly. *shrug*

The next title you can reach is Game Freak at 100 posts.

Additionally to what Fifth said - you can edit this custom title under My Settings - Edit Your Details (on the menu bar above), if you're using the vBulletin (http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/index.php) version of the forum (advised, as it's lighter on loading).

A slightly inaccurate wording there.
Scatty was talking about accessing the forums through a frame on the main site ( http://www.abandonia.com/en/forum ) versus accessing them directly ( http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet ).
I don't think it actually does make that much of a difference, but you're welcome to try and compare.

Okay-- This is weird.

I always use the drop-down on the site home, and selecting "Forum" from it.

I was also getting Printing errors.

It would also always say "abandonia.com/En/Forum" and never change.

If I type in directly for the vbullet version,(:hihihi:) though, when I click on threads and such-- it changes the web address

The "why" is simple enough: The (otherwise very broken) interaction between the site and forums automatically logs in users on the forum if they are logged in to the site.

Although that's only a guess. The people who gave us this little abomination have not been in touch for past half decade. :)

It's correct, but doesn't make much sense, because the second line would never run--and so the apparently intended loop wouldn't occur. This would make more sense:
10 GOSUB ABANDONIA
20 GOTO 10

I had to go to my forum options and "reset" my title to the default one--which it previously was. Understandably, the forum doesn't mass-change the title of many users only because the default is changed. So other people with "goto Abandonia" will keep it, unless they do the same. I think. Only new people who arrive at this rank will get the default title.
