After playing all 3 Xcom games I recommend Laser Squad Nemesis (http://www.lasersquadnemesis.com/Download.htm) from the same persons who created the games, the Gollops brothers.

Laser Squad and Rebelstar Raiders are both still very playable, too.

from the site and abandonware? I'd say X-COM APOCH RUL3Z!
Offsite and non- abandonware i really like Sims 2, Civ 3, Longest Journey, Monkey island and Arcanum.[Note only action game Ive ever played was Thief 2-The Metal age. Really liked it

Wait... This site had Syndicate and Syndicate Wars? I never noticed that, some of the best games I've ever played.

Syndicate runs fine, but Syndicate wars brings up errors about disk not being in drive or some other nonsense.

I've played Jagged Alliance 2, I hope the first one is better, it was kind of a stanky game, JA2 I mean.
