Choplifter [NON-PC]

I remember playing a very old game when I was something like eight years old. It was a game where you controlled a helocopter and had to evaquate POW from a camp while killing the guards. It was a side scroller view but you could travel in either direction. To evaquate the people you had to land and they would run towards you. If you wanted to kill the guards you needed to be in the air.

Anyone know the title and possibly where to get it?

It sounds a lot like Choplifter (http://screenmania.retrogames.com/c64/01/c64_0032.html). I'm not sure if there was ever a PC version though.

Choplifter it is, thanks. Too bad Mobygames is down right otherwise I could tell if they ever made a PC version of it. I think so though. I can't remember ever seeing it in colour.

The C64 version definately was in color. Don´t know how it is with the pc-version...

I've found it. It's called "Airlift Rescue". Not sure that's exactly what you search but should be very close.
