Jorpho over at the HOTU forum has done nice work gathering a list of software vendors. Since the list is very handy when looking for rare titles or cheap offers, thought the list should appear here as well. Besides, there must be good sites not listed yet, so you fellows can add more to it.
I've marked the ones I have used myself with good success with an asterisk (*).
Also, (E) means the company ships to Europe.

Unfortunately not all of them, so check the shipping information. Some make exceptions when asked by e-mail, and I guess most of us know Americans who can help forwarding the goodies to Europe.
Then again, not all of the European shops ship to the States, either..
EDIT: Actually, they all do ship to Europe. Better check the shipping rates, though, as they can be quite high. And for some reason some countries (such as Poland or Romania, etc) are not considered to be part of Europe.

Er.. sorry, but what do those links prove? The first two are open source programs, but have really never seen open source stuff on sale before? There's nothing illegal or suspicious about it, if the developers haven't exactly forbidden it.
The third link is only speculations by people who haven't done any research on the matter. Comments like "Its basically pirated software that somebody puts on a CD or DVD and mails it to you and charges 5 bucks. Its very illegal. I think?" are useless - the fellow makes a strong statement, and then questions it by himself. I think?
I'd say it'd need some hard evidence before the webstore can be deemed *SCAM* as they did on the forum you linked to, instead of just guessing and speculating.
If you live in Sweden I recommend Webhallen (http://www.webhallen.com).
Amerzone is currently for sale for ~$4.

I can vouch for GoGamer, especially their 48 hour "madness" deals.
I've ordered twice from them and the item arrived quickly, with a ridiculously low $1.99 shipping charge, and in perfect condition.
I should warn that I had trouble with their Min. Sys Requirements--they left out a line on Psychonauts that would have told me I couldn't actually run the game on a GeForce4 MX (actually a deceitfully repackaged GeForce2--I'll spare you the sob story). So just double check the minimum requirements at Gamespot or something and order with confidence. GoGamer offered me a refund, but heck, it only cost me $8 total for a great new game--I'll just wait until I upgrade!

Wendymaree found this (http://stores.ebay.com/Epic-Adventure-PC-Game-Software). Might be useful for some people, since the prices seem fairly low.

These are all very interesting & useful if you're a Northerner. Anyone live in the Antipodes (specifically New Zealand, in my case) and know of any 'economical' vendors?
Can we insert this useful list on requests forum? (Pinned)
Sometimes it's hard to find if a game is sold or not.
Thanks

You want it you got it, David :) It'll be over in a jiffy
EDIT: After much ado, it is now in both threads. Thanks Fifth.

OK, it's been just... I've checked their store page and that notice couldn't be found anywhere.
Maybe you've got the pages cached, or they still work if you bypass the index one. Flush the cache at least fot that domain and see if you manage to get the same result as we. When I click that link the only thing I see is the C&B logo and the notice David posted, and there's no link to navigate anywhere else.
EDIT: Yes I can navigate the site entering through Google etc., the warning is only displayed if you go directly to the URL http://www.chipsbits.com/
I think we can delete it from the list :)

I've just opened CDAccess:

I agree. I shop at gogamer all the time. Their 48-Hour Madness Sales are a good place to find deals.

A list of good online game vendors is definitely not complete without JJgames.
http://www.jjgames.com/
Their shipping policy (http://www.jjgames.com/page/shipping-policy) claims to ship to 33 countries, but it didn't list all of them. England, France and Germany are listed as a few of the European countries they ship to. So I can verify they ship to Europe.
