Hi all. Bit of a newbie here in need of some help.

I downloaded the Sensible-World-of-Soccer-96-97 zip file from MyAbandonware.com as I used to own the game for the Amiga back in the day.

But being a bit of a simpleton when it comes to computing, I am not entirely sure how to access it. Can anyone help?

I know I'm probably going to need to access it through something like DSBox, is that right?

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit. Is this also going to be a problem?

Again, apologies for the lack of know-how I'm showing!

Hope someone can point me in the right direction.

Cheers.

Dosbox. Windows 32 or 64 : no problem, just follow the instructions in the tutorials.

Some help: Tutorials (http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/forumdisplay.php?f=90)
Unzip archive in your virtual C: (read tutorials to know what a virtual C: is)
Rename (in Windows) archive 'Sensible World of Soccer 96-97' to something suitable for dosbox (8chars max, no win jingle bells)
Something as \swos96\
Launch dosbox, do a cd swos96 from c prompt so you get on c:\swos96 prompt
Launch runme.bat once
Run game with swos

Action key (or select key ..) is mainly CTRL

Personal opinion: Shitgame. :sneakrete:

Hi, I suppose you're trying to play the DOS version, even though you mention you used to own the Amiga one? This one?

Windows 64-bit is no problem, if you use DOSBox, which is kind of the only way anyway.

On this board you have two stickies and a whole "Tutorials" child board with a lot of information to get you started in using DOSBox. :)

EDIT: Dosraider beat me
