Recently I was browsing a free software alternatives website and stumbled upon this interesting archiver tool:

HaoZip (http://www.haozip.com/Eng/index_en.htm)

Essentially, it's a pretty straightforward clone of WinRAR, made in China. It doesn't allow to create RAR archives (only ZIP and 7zip), but supports most popular formats and has a very similar interface to WinRAR (down to many details, but not completely identical though). It also comes with some other utilities like a built-in disk image virtual drive, and a graphics viewer. The programme is free. Another difference from WinRAR is that it is quite a bit more resource-demanding (probably because of the built-in extras), but I suppose it isn't as noticeable on modern hardware anyway.

Here's an alternate download from Softpedia: [link] (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Compression-tools/HaoZip.shtml)

.... made in China.....
Hmmm, It ain't China as it used to be, for something Chinese I would at least expect a build in password cracking soft .....

The world is really going down the drain.
