Friends, Romans, Countrymen: Lend me your technical expertise.

I've recently downloaded Dust and managed to get it installed and running, however I'm having some video and audio issues with it. For starters, some of the sound files won't play and the game hangs until I press Esc then the game decides to play the first half second of the skipped dialogue and then continue on as usual. Video-wise, the game experiences random hangs during the beginning movie sequence. Does anyone have any idea what I have done wrong or what I can do to improve performance? I'm running Win98 from VPC and just installed the game normally from inside it. Has anyone managed to get this game to work recently on VPC or anything similar? Great thanks to anyone who may be able to help me.

The game should run in Windows 3... get a copy of it and set it up in DOSBox using the instructions here: http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=27770
Then see if the problems persist when running the game in said copy of Win 3 running on DOSBox.

Worked like a charm. Thanks for pointing that out to me.
