Im looking for a very obscure german game called "Splitterwelten". it was released in 1997 and the story goes as follows: A whole solarsystem was destroyed and the resident sentient races reside now on small chunks of the planets. The different tribes want to push each other off the chunks, in order to control them all. The player musst help one tribe. The game is top down 2d and a strategy action game, where the player controls the units and tells them where to go, in order to push the other tribefolk of the planetchunk/Meteor.

There are very few references to this game on the net but here are two helpfull ones:

-http://www.mobygames.com/game/splitterwelten/ (has alot of information about the game)

-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxDdN9EgUfU (only gameplay video on youtube that I found)

I have seen an add for this game in a German gaming magazine (PC-Joker, PC-gamer or PC Action), and I always wanted to try it out.

Can anybody help me?

It's a game I played ~1997-1998. The game was part of a shareware CD collection, it was a big cardboard package from some German magazine consisting of three CDs. The game was also in German.

The game took place on small space platforms, which had higher and lower ground. You took control of few guys and AI controlled the other few guys. The objective was to push all enemies off the edge, using the terrain and proper guys control. Later on you had more stuff like stronger guys who could push by themselves (normally you'd have to stack guys 2:1 or have terrain advantage to push), conveyor belts which greatly disadvantaged people on it and stuff like that. Early maps were symmetrical, later on they got asymmetrical against the player.

Later on you unlocked different levels and the tileset and character design changed (earlier had bull like characters, later had insect like, at least that's how I remember it).

Anyone know what could it be? I tried asking for Reddit but no one had an idea.

And why would you come back just to say this, and not give a link to those who have also been looking for it? What a waste.

Edit: well, forget him - I just found a cd image of the full version =) Is abandonia interested in hosting it? Either way, Darabka - PM me when you see this and I will host the game for you.

Splitterwelten (http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/splitterwelten)

The developer/publisher is not ESA-protected, the game is no longer sold, and only used copies were found. Can a moderator confirm?

Hey guys,

This is a super obscure German game ("Splitterwelten" is loosely translated to "Fragment Worlds" or lit. "Splinter worlds), about pushing little people of meteorite fragments (kind of a puzzle action game).

Here is a link with info of the game http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/splitterwelten/mobyrank
And here is the only Youtube video with game footage of the game I found
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxDdN9EgUfU

I have requested this game years ago, but I gave eventually up. I googled the name only to find an archived version of my request, where I saw that the user named "exoscoriae" has said he would share the game. Here is the Link for the archived post http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/archive/index.php/t-27986.html
I am still very interested, and I think it would be a great addition to the site, for its obscurity alone.

Yes, this user provided some info where the game can be found. Actually it can be now easily googled, there is topic in one german forum that requires registration, but then you can download CD image.

I'm sending you PM.

If you can prepare the archive (or prepare the image on 4shared) and make some screenshots, it would be great. And if you add even a short description, that would be awesome :D

edit: Actually, there was no need to start new topic. The old one (http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/showthread.php?t=27986) is in Approved Requests, meaning it can be added to the site, once material is provided. This also means that even without screenshots we can reupload the image and host it in ISO Cellar.
