The Lands of Narthine :
A thousand years ago, the world around was not as it seems now. The lands were ruled by the great Kings and Queens, and they led mighty legions of troops into battle in the lust for power.
Such was the scenario in the blasted lands of Narthine.
Narthine was a newly discovered island, discovered by the traders that plied their trade on the mighty seas. The island was already famous in the mainland, for its untold wealth.
The Kingdom of Klinggon had sent its might general Prince Sven to set up a settlement in the tiny island. But word travels fast. soon prince sven was followed into the island by several other factions, some of whose intentions were far from noble.
Players start off with a tiny village, with little population. Slowly, they should aim to take over the other villages & settlements that they come across. There are rumors of quite a good number of native villages in the island.
* The scenario is set in the medieval times, hence, the allowed troops allowed are as follows:
Spearmen (bonus vs. cavalry)
Swordsmen (standard heavy infantry)
Axemen ( bonus while attacking infantry)
Archers (bonus vs infantry)
Light Cavalry (especially for scouting, works well with fleeing enemies)
Heavy Cavalry (THE BOSS ! costs a lot !! )
Mounted Archers ( bonus versus heavy infantry)
** no Jedi's here please, nor ak47 totting Jehadis :P

Beginning of time : Turn 0
Cassian Syndel was a high official in the Royal Court, who was commissioned by the Emperor of Moldova to set up a settlement, in the island of Narthine. As with the old traditions of his land, he is an excellent Cavalry chief.
A village was set up off the Western Coast of the island, the settlement has the following:
560 people

Halindir Vaniarduric : After the rapid conversion of the native pagans, the Viking set up his own settlement in the northern edge of Narthine.

Jonah Rohvendohr a mercenary leader, roamed from one empire to another in search for employments. He was a well do military leader, leading his rag tag band of troops into incredulous victories. PROCLAMATION
Hear ye, hear ye!

Foreign Relations
-Send an envoy to the nearest village with some of my jewellery as gifts - to establish friendly relations.
-Send an envoy back to the mainland, to request monks, a priest and additional finances, if possible. "We will rid this land of the pagan scum!"
Research
-Nearby geography.
-Fortifications.
Military
-Organize the remaining Royal Guards into 2-person patrol shifts that change every two hours (except two guards which will remain besides me).
Summary
We have come to these alien territories with a sacred responsability. We are the messengers of God, we are the messengers of peace, we are the messengers of civilization, we are the Holy Empire of Moldova! It is time we share our knowledge with less fortunate people, who before our arrival never had the opportunity to know God. Our first church is in the making - our beacon of light in these wastelands, and hopefully in the future it will be the ray of hope for all Narthine.

Hey, Listen up... We're here to make a settlement, and by extension... well... actually, there's no extension, we just need to make a settlement, but not here, the ground just doesn't feel right, I feel it might be a good idea to scout the river to a source, and build a settlement there, this water's too salty. Oh, and we're going to need a military of some kind, there will be no draft, if you want to join the possible fight, speak now.

Jesus Highlander - The Highlander Clan - Turn 1
Queensland - 145
Total Expenditure - 200 ducats
Military
No military training yet. There will be time for war later.
I sent out 3 swordsmen to explore south-east regions of the area. If they encounter any peaceful tribes or something similar, they will try to enter into peaceful negotiations with them; Ask them about the land and propose possible trade treaty; Exchange alcohol for work-force.
The rest of the swordsmen will guard the area and uphold peace and my safety.
Domestic Affairs/Economy
I order several slaves to establish a mine, as it seems this mountainside might be rich of minerals. 30 people are ordered to establish a camp site around the area, so we have at least proper place to sleep. 30 people are send to the nearby woods to chop trees. 10 people will build a still, because I cant stand being a sober and the rest will scout the nearby area, gathering food in the process.
*Jesus takes a good long swig from his XXX bottle as the crowd gathers at him.*
"Alright, lads and lasses. We are now on our own. However, as long as god is on our side and I have enough booze, we will have changes for survival. Our first goal is to establish an outpost. We will stick to this goal until we have proper place to live, drink and make more booze. If we happen to find any iron on this rock, we can then start building our military might.
I've noticed that we have few slaves here. As long as were in this together, I I consider those buggers equal to us. They will do the most harshest work, mining, but they will be given camp site and food as well. They are forbidden to touch the booze supply though!
FREEEEDOOOOM! *takes another swig and orders everyone to get to bloody work!*
Foreign Relations
As explained in the military, peaceful negotiations with nearby tribes if possible. Until we have a proper military, we try to persuade them to work for us, by giving them booze.

I devide my huskarls into five groups of tens. Two of these groups will scout up along the river, and through the nearby forest together, and then split up, one to the east, and one to the west.
Another group will stay at my side, at the settlement.
The last two groups will scout through the forest to the east. They will be followed by a band of treechoppers.
In the event that my huskarls encounter natives, they've been ordered to be peaceful, and try to establish a friendly relationship with them.
The treechoppers will begin chopping down trees, while at the settlement a small harbour will be constructed, so we can get a fishing industry going.

Garen - The Legion of the Frozen Wastes - Turn #1
Military
- The men are payed, equally, out of what amount of gold was salvaged from their unwelcoming arrival. A signed parchment marks the lord's debt to his army as of now. If morale hasn't been lowered to an irrecoverable rate yet, the army is told that vengeance will soon be theirs, for tonight, they march south once more, and slay all who opposed them.
- 30 swordsmen are ordered to patrol and guard the village at all cost.
Domestic Affairs
- 50 civilians have been ordered to the new found gold mine, with a small military escort, whilst the rest continue their current activities such as hunting or gathering wood. When there is enough wood, the order to construct walls will be given.
- The village has been renamed to Swordmeet, in honor of the northmen who fell by the blade of the enemy.
- Promises are made concerning the building of shrines and housing, aswell as the enslavement of the native population to free the "hands of the strong from the work of the slave."
- Negotiations are continued with the so-called "Minister" about potential hiring, and he is explained how the current economy is at a "disastrous state".
Foreign Relations:
- The prisoners from the recent scouting mission are asked where they keep their riches and food supplies, and should they not answer at first, will also be tortured.
Research:
- Fishing.
- Improved mining.
- Weapon smithy.
Turn Summary:
Not everyone was happy within the Legion, and their limited supplies and resources soon took their toll... but if the population had patience, then the military would soon change that.
