Hamachi is giving me PITA

Anyone knwos how to deal with it? i remember seing on this forums and being suggested for certain games by users. But i simply can not get it to work/function porpperly. I tried to get DoD (the old one) working. Also Battlefield 2. I managed to ping the othe rusers on the network but that's about it.

I though VPN is supposed to make all users connected ot it like being in lan and that programmes will automaticly recognise them as such. so if anyone has some thought or has tried somethign similar and succeded i am all ears.

I heard it is not worth squat anymore since it "upgraded" to version 2.

I tried to use it not so long ago. I uninstalled it after I got fed up trying to make it to work.

ah ok. anything else out there that would/could do the job of creating LAN over internet?

I finnaly managed to get it working. the solution was to use online profile in order to play an offline LAN game. makes sense doesn't it?

it means if company decides to shut down the servers you can't even play a LAN game.
