Oh wow, I owned this back in the day. Reccomend people taking a look at this if they're into experiencing the clunky growth and progression of FMV games :D

I got a warning!
Seems that willing to give something away, can be interpreted as advertising.
I'm looking at all those banners and ads all around, and that makes me laugh.
I have one warning too:
"Perhaps most troubling is the fact that despite oft repeated claims about cloud computing being a way for humanity to build a shared, open, transparent, and democratic space, new cyberspaces are frequently subject to many of the same forms of control and power relations that characterize the offline-world. It seems particularly problematic that large profits are being made from freely contributed labor. The dream of a digital commons, democratically constructed by people from around the world, may yet be realized. However, until then, it will remain important to ensure that the many new megaengineering projects in cyberspace represent more than just new forms of exploitation." - Mark Graham

Oh my ....
Ah well, keep in mind that AB is now a commercial site, making money (or trying to) with software they don't own.
You on the other hand give away stuff you own .....

Romano, I think the giving away of these games is wonderful, and hopefully in the future there will be someway to make it happen better here on AB.
If I didn't move location so much, I would definitely be taking you up on at least one of these offers, but I try to keep my possessions down for traveling ease :)

I think the same. Gifting your games is a noble action Romano :)

Sounds like a scam to me.

No, Romano is a long-time member of the site. Feel free to pm him for further details if you are concerned, but this is just what it says on the tin, somebody giving away some games.
Of course, if you (understandably) feel unsafe giving your address to someone from the internet then you're completely within your rights to not take him up on the offer :)
EDIT: To be clear, Abandonia is not affiliated with his site, and as always, caveat emptor.

Wow. Romano got a warning and every old members knows why. It is not even a question.
The simple fact that he is trying to get exposure out of this too is appalling and only add to his case... The simple fact that I care to reply to such a thread also really shows how sick I am of all this.

Er, WTF? Romano did not even receive a warning, but a polite request to keep his offers in one thread.
Him even being allowed to use the name of his site here is conditional on not being obnoxious by plugging it anywhere he can think of (something which happened in the past).
Romano, please stop painting yourself as the victim. We have not forgotten 2008, and especially the December. Start behaving like a mature person rather than hiding behind ill-fitting passages from someone else's ideology.

...Start behaving like a mature person...
What is so good in being mature :P

It prevents other members from thinking that you are playing some kind of game (http://redwing.hutman.net/~mreed/warriorshtm/rebelwithoutclue.htm) with us. :suspicious:

And to set the record straight, Romano's last warning (and ONLY) was issued in April 2010, and has expired long ago. He's set with 0 points.
We have a FAQ and a little thing that you have to click "I AGREE" to that we tend to live by.
