From Wikipedia:
One of the most popular Mortal Kombat game hacks on the web, "Ultimate Mortal Kombat Trilogy" (commonly abbreviated as UMKT), was created by Belarusian hacker known as 'Kabal_MK', using the Mega Drive version of UMK3 as a template. The hack includes every version of every character (except the MK3 version of Noob Saibot) up to Mortal Kombat Trilogy, all of which gain new special moves and finishers, among other additions. It also introduces the stages that weren't available in any of the Mega Drive ports: The Belltower, The Pit and The Pit II. The hack exceeds "traditional" 4MB Mega Drive's read-only memory limit, like Super Street Fighter II. That means you'll need to use an emulator modified to play games over the limit. However, the real Mega Drive is able to run the hack normally with some bugs that are not shown during emulation.

I can't post a link to the game on this site because it's a ROM, but I'm sure you'll be able to find it with relative ease...

Ahh, the good old Kabal's hack :smile2: Perhaps one of the best unofficial versions of the game.

UPDATE
I found a MUGEN alternative to the ROM hack:

MUGEN is freeware, so there shouldn't be a problem here...

Nice. I know about the Mortal Kombat Project on MUGEN, but I haven't had time to get around to trying it myself yet. For some reason, many MK fans dislike the MUGEN version, no idea why though.

The UMK3T hack would've been better IMO, if it allowed to turn all the custom additions (like new moves, finishers and suchlike stuff) an and off at will (there's a UMK3 Mode, but IIRC it only turns off certain features, leaving at least some of the new moves in there). Maybe this was done in a newer version, I haven't checked the project for quite some time.
