They came up with some good lines:

"Right in the jewels!"
"Hell, I'd still hit it."

But my favorite:

"What, did you think I was gone FOREVER?" :D

Yeah, but after twelve *biing* years it should be! :D
Hope it will be the big hit it promises to be in the trailer. They always take the best out of content for them, but the actual rest... we'll see.

I see it but I don't believe it. And it's not that I'm thinking will it be a good game, I'm just surprised that they actually finished something... Is it the same team or they sold the license? Because that latter seems more likely...

You didn't pay attention when it happened? The game got taken of the orginal developers...cause they went bankrupt and then was handed to a new studio..Gearworks I think. And has thus been finished, how much is the orginal guys work I don't know.

The original folks did a lot with it, as you could see in some of the leaked footage of the game when they got fired.

And it's Gearbox, whom made games like: Borderlands, Opposing Force, Blue Shift, Brothers in Arms. aka FPS veterans :OK:

Who cares about the original team, they're lazy deadbeats.

That's what Duke would say. :P

When Duke lights that match off of the dying pig cop the pig makes that squeal sound. That's the sound the farm building makes in Warcraft II. It's probably actually a generic soundbyte that they grabbed from somewhere, but it'd be interesting if they were making an extremely subtle rip at Blizzard.

The letters on the buttons on the controller at the end are a bit different.....I like.

It is a generic sound which was used in many games, not only Warcraft II. I also found myself often hearing a sound in some movie or advertisement which I know from some game, and wondering if it's from some big source of a freely available sound pool.
Grabbing an already existing, freely available sound file is cheaper and takes less effort, than making an own one ;)

I had to google what this Professor Layton is, but the pun is hilarious.

After I thought about it for a while, I realized that was the much more likely solution. But the idea of Duke doing a really subtle rip on Blizzard was alot of fun to think about.

A couple of years ago I saw this preorder ad for Command and Conquer 3 and was extremely surprised to hear in the ad this same bit of public domain music that a friend and I ourselves had used in a film we had made. Weird stuff that public domain.
