the memory could not be read from

Ok. Im trying to play game Lurid Land and I got error message when I open it:
"the instruction at 0042d2c8 referencer memory at 000f0000
the memory could not be read from"
Any ideas what to do?

Runs fine in dosbox, 800x600,default dosbox conf. (Or VPC+W98SE.... can run in Dos or Windows.)
Needs to be installed from the CD (or from the image, of course).

BTW, kinda funny game, but not so easy platformer.
