View Full Version : Msconfig ?
Hi, mates,
From time to time I check my computer(s) what programs are loaded at its start. I use Windows Me, XP and 7.
For this purpose-Start-Run-them write msconfig-in open window I click on Startup.
But while the word msconfig in Me is preserved, in XP and 7 I have again and again write it. This is embarrassing.
Any idea?
Thanks
yoga

8 keystrokes are a problem for you ....?
8 keystrokes .... sometimes you need a 1000+ keystrokes to make one of your posts in 'Abandonia games discussion'.
:hysterical:

Win7
You'll find msconfig in c:\windows\system32\
Use that one to create a shortcut.

Dear Dosraider;
YOU know that I am lazy beggar. :smile2: And I am not the only one.
Second: Let count-
1 Click on Start +
2 Click on Run +
8 (msconfig) = 10+
11 Enter
I am joking of course.:smile2:
Now seriously: Danke, Dosrider.
I did the shortcuts and now is very handy.
thankful yoga

You're welcome, you lazy yoga.
But if you really want to know what's running on your PC you'll need something better than msconfig.
You'll need autoruns, one of the best sys softs that's around.

However, a warning, you can screw things up with that prog if you don't really know what you're doing, just saying.
