Hello everyone,
I am searching for an old Amiga game which I hope was also available for PC. Here is what it is about:
It is a real time strategy game. You are able to build buildings and units to finish of your foes. I believe there is only a single player part.
The resource you need to build is milk ... Yes ... milk :) There is a building which is able to create cows (a cow house ) and the cows harvest the grass around. The main building is able to create builder units. You can build other buildings i believe. A "warrior house" and a "priest house". The warrors house can build three or four kinds of warriors, the priest house two kinds of priests. The graphics could compare with Dune II.

I can not remember the name of the game. Does anyone here know that game and its title?

Regards,
eldamar

PS: I didn't find a forum for this kind of post. @mods: Feel free to move this thread.

This sounds exactly the same as "Polanie": http://www.mobygames.com/game/polanie

Yeah, it's the only milk-harvesting Warcraft clone :)

I hope it will get approved, that is always motivating to try it out :smile2:

Awesome! It's that game! And its GERMAN! Ja, Mann! Thank you guys!

Funny: Those developer students in fact wanted to title it "Knights and cows", but the producer suggested to pick a name which "sounds more familiar". If they would had called it Knights and Cows i wouldve found it way earlier and by myself

That's because this game isn't German, but Polish. It did have German special edition, though (called "Victory").

I can try to translate the missions briefings to english, but the menu and other stuff probably will not be easy if possible.

I've found two different releases of this game:
- floppy edition (I haven't found files with text to translate)
- cd edition (I will also have to work on cd-checking mechanism, as the iso is quite big with CD-Audio)

I hope that the game will be approved after that :)

Do you mean translating it wit hex-editor so text on English will appear in the game? I though that all Polish games were translated by fans already... I've read that somewhere :hihihi:

Only briefings between missions...

There is not much other text in-game

Hey, I could even understand something. I guess Slav languages are indeed alike :)

IIRC, Polanie uses very simple file structure. I believe a map editor would be a distinct possibility.
